These apartments are situated just 5 mins walk from the village of Lindos. Lindos is a typical Greek place with the Accropolys at the top of a steep climb, however, it is possible to travel by donkey.

The studios are spacious and clean. Each one overlooks the extremely clean pool which is surrounded by numerous comfortable sunbeds (no charge) and brollies.

There is a bar and food outlet operated by Antonio and his son, Rafael.. Limited menu but what is on offer is well cooked and nicely presented.

Peaceful location but near enough to walk into Lindos. Rhodes town 1hour by public transport cost 5 euro.

My partner and I stayed here for a week in October. We were initially worried before coming out due to the recent negative reviews. However, we had no problem and we were pleasantly suprised with the accommodation.
Our studio afforded beautiful views of the acropolis and the mountainous surrounds. The balcony was lovely to relax on in the early hours after getting back from the town.
Our room was cleaned daily, except for on the Sunday, and we were given clean sheets and towels.
We didn't really use the kitchen facilities as we ate out every night - but we were equipped with two hobs, a fridge and utensils, as well as a sweet little table and chairs.
The bedroom was lovely, two twin beds pushed together, air conditioning was great and a must even at this time of year it was very hot compared to home. There were blankets in the wardrobe if needed as well as a safety deposit box.
The pool was absolutely gorgeous! It has a small section for young children, then the main pool itself gave plenty of space and depth to swim. There were plenty of sunbeds and the snack bar was very refreshing. The snack bar is sheltered and the variety of food is good, matching the general variety found in hotels, with pricing also being similar.
Antonio himself we found pleasant and obliging, as was his son.
Rafael is the fourth place I have tried in Lindos and it is the furthest away of all of them - up in Krana above the village, and nearly at the back of Krana. It definitely is a long trek, but well worth it as the exercise burns off all the delicious food!
Our only problem with this accommodation was with the bathroom. The shower space is too small. Because of this, the shower curtain sticks to you, and the shower curtain doesn't even keep the water in anyway so it has no value. There would be plenty of room to expand this space so it is a shame that this hasn't been done (there is plenty of extra room in the bathroom itself and a lot of redundant space in the kitchen). However, in general the bathroom was fine it did its job, had a sink, towel rack and toilet.

This was our second visit to the Raphael Studios and there are several reasons why we would never go back. One of the main reasons is the practice of double booking. During our weeks stay we witnessed the owner and his son taking private bookings at the expense of legitimate bookings from several different holiday operators. Within 7 days we witnessed 4 different parties who turned up and with legitimate bookings and then were quickly turned away. These poor people would then be offered accomodation in the neighbouring resort of Pefkos were the owners friend hashe some apartments.During these incidents the owner and his son expressed no sympathy towards these people and at times they were just rude. The day before we were flying home we watched 2 couples turn up at the Raphael only to be told their legitimate booking was now not valid. They tried to reason with the owner but he told them to leave his premises. when they said they wanted him to sort their booking out the owner became angry and thew a chair at one of them. An argument ensued which resulted in the owner throwing all their luggage over the wall and his son chasing them away from the apartments with a knife from the kitchen. In all our years of holidaying we have never witnessed anything quite like it. It is such a shame because Lindos is a very beautiful resort but unless you want to play holiday roulette with these apartments i would consider booking elsewhere.

Just returned from our second visit to Lindos this year. This time we stayed out of the village up at the Krana area. The studios are located at the very back of Krana, nestling against the rocks. The area is very very quiet and peaceful. It's a 15 min stroll into Lindos and a 5 min taxi ride (5E) back!!! The location is wonderful with the wild goats and sheep wandering back and forth all day. The donkeys that ply their trade up and down the acropolis live in fields nearby, but are not in the least noisy. The pool area is first class, lots of sunbeds (only 38 guests when full, so there is one each!!), lots of room, well maintained, and spotless. The public pool toilets are similarly clean. The bar is good and the snacks served are very good value, well cooked, and tasty. Antonio, who seems to be there 24/7 may seem a little grumpy, but speak a little Greek, take some time to warm to him and he is funny, charming and very very kind. The gardens are very well maintained and colourful. The rooms are basic, (usual Greek apartments) but functional. We had room 118 top floor to the right, a huge double balcony, with stunning views of the Acropolis (and the thunder storms over the Turkish coast). All in all a very relaxing stay, and we wouln't hesitate to go back. Thank you Antonio (and son)!!

Room Tip: Room 118 has best view.

We found the Raphael Studios on Thomas Cook's website when looking for a last minute break in the sun and were very pleased with our choice - simple self catering accommodation with quite spectacular views of the Lindos acropolis and a superb, well maintained pool. The pictures of the studios look a bit stark, particularly with bare rock (enjoyed by local goats) immediately behind the building, but there are in fact small but well kept lawns and gardens around the site. All the rooms face the pool and Lindos village - those on the first and second floors have better views than the ground floor but they do get hot as the sun is on them for most of the day (nice for sundowners though). It's a pleasant 10 minute walk down to the main road past fields and a couple of mini-markets (just watch out for the lunatic taxi drivers after dark). Cross the main road and you have another 5-10 minute walk down to main square of Lindos. There is a regular shuttle bus that will take you back up the hill to the main road if you can't face walking! We found the studios well maintained and finished to a good standard. Often, at the end of the season, self catering accommodation can look as though it's taken a battering but, as far as we could, see Antonio and his son Raphael were really looking after the place. We would have liked a luggage room when we checked out - suitcases and bags were quite safe but had to be left out in the sun all day (our pick-up wasn't until 2am the following morning for a 5.15am flight). The Thomas Cook rep was very good but the flights were the most cramped I'd experienced in a long time. If you want a quiet and relaxing stay at a reasonable price within easy reach of Lindos, I'd say Raphael Studios are hard to beat.

We stayed here in September 2012. Was very worried in the immediate days before we flew out due to the negative comments left on here regarding double booking. All I can say is that we booked with Thomas Cook and our apartment was ready when we arrived.
With regards to the complex itself - the apartments are very quiet and the pool area was very peaceful during the day. We found it very relaxing. The pool in particular is very good and the sunbeds very comfy with nice padded mattresses. We never had any problems getting sunbeds whatever time of day we wanted one.
The rooms are basic and quite honestly I felt that they needed a good clean. The bedding was ok (I am very particular about this) but the towels were awful - very grey and frayed and with small holes. You only get one pillow but I know from another guest that you can ask for more. I couldnt use the kettle (had bought my own anyway) as it was very "furry" inside with bits floating in the water when it had been boiled. We had 2 small tea cups for our coffee and these did not match - we had to buy 2 mugs from the local shop as my partner could not get his fingers in the handle of the teacups!
The bathroom was not pleasant and had a very nasty pong to it and the fan that was in there led directly through the wall into the kitchen - hmm nice!
I would not even contemplate cooking in the kitchen and there were cobwebs all around the hinges of the kitchen cupboards which put me off using anything that was in the cupboards.
This complex has such potential. It is in a lovely spot and with a little bit of re-furbishment the apartmenst could be super.
I never had reason to have any dealings with the owners - but they did not appear to be over accomodating. We only ate there once and it was not of a standard that we like so we always ate out.
Would I return - prob not as there are far nicer apartments around.

Prior to travel ,I spotted the recent bad reviews and was apprehensive to say the least. I needn't have been. We travelled with Thomas Cook who have not ceased their agreement with Rafael, in fact the rep uses the cafeteria several times a week to catch up on paperwork and appears to have a good rapport with the owner Antonio. No-one was turned away while I was there but it is apparent that unlike Thomas Cook, other companies do not communicate with the owners and do not provide accurate travelinfo for their clients. This impacted on the only area of discontent which was no late check out room. This I was informed was because Antonio was not provided with arrival details therefore had to keep rooms available for new arrivals. There were several short stay lone travellers and so I can imagine it may be confusing at times. Anyway ..my holiday. We arrived to a warm welcome and a choice of Up or down rooms. We chose up and were rewarded with a beautiful sunrise and the acropolis/sea each morning from the balcony. Rooms are basic but had all I required and a lovely outside space, it looks as if a facelift is in progress and that of course would be a bonus. The gardens are well kept and a pleasure to behold and the pool is wonderful .Rafael is in a rural setting and the walk back and forth to the village was a pleasure passing donkeys ,dogs ,cats,, goats cockerils etc. Antonio and his son work from early in the morning til everyone leaves the bar at night and are always pleasant and helpful while allowing you privacy. This is definately a place I would return to.

Room Tip: The higher up you are the better the view
