Just finished 4 nights at Electra Studio apartments in the village of Lindos on Rhodes island in Greece. We booked through booking.com. OK communication via email when we asked for directions were advised to call them upon arrival.

We travelled from Rhodes town by bus (2hrs approx) you get off at the Lindos stop and walk around 5 min down a step hill that leads you to Lindos square. The owner said once you arrive at the square (which is really a roundabout with a huge tree in the centre and taxi stand in front of a wonderful view) she said follow the donkeys and look for our signage. So we followed the tourists riding their donkeys (they only go down to the beach or up to the acropolis - both paths pass outside the apartments) after around 5min we saw a sign for Electra apartments on our left down a lane way which has a doorbell on the outside wall for reception assistance. If you reach a cute church on your left overlooking the beach, then you have gone too far.

The good:
Self contained apartment with mini fridge, plates, cups etc.
Own shower and toilet
AC
Cupboards with hangers
window shutters
central location
walking distance everywhere and under the Acropolis
Gorgeous common balcony view
Lovely garden with fruit trees for lazing during siesta that overlooks Lindos bay below
Quiet area away from bars
Cleaned daily
Can drink the tap water
Lovely Managers - Mum and her daughter

Bad
Bathroom gets flooded
No fan AC only
Two single beds together not Double
No parking - but you can park in the beach area and walk
When leaving you will wheel your luggage to the square, if its heavy its 4 euro up the hill to the main rd.

Overall total value for money. If you want a place with alot of interaction with the management or 24 hr reception, phones, internet etc then this is NOT the place for you. The mother's english is basic but her daughter is fluent.
This is perfect for independant travellers, loads of supermarkets around for some basic groceries for breakfast etc. Walk to Lindos bay at the bottom of the hill for swimming (5min) or trek across to St Pauls bay (30min) for a swim. Walk up to the Acropolis (5min) or ride a donkey that passes outside.

The type of guests staying here are couples and travellers looking for a quiet clean and central location - not suitable for those looking for a social scene, partying etc.

Thank you for a beautiful stay we truly felt at home and will be coming back again one day we hope!

Room Tip: There are rooms upstairs on the main terrace and down stairs that lead into the fruit and vege garden. we liked being upstairs on the main terrace but both areas can be accessed by all guests and there are kitchens on both levels.

Spent four days at Pension Electra at the start of September.

Very cheap rate for the end of summer. Really enjoyed our stay in what were basic, but nice rooms.

The owner was very welcoming the whole time, although English was not a strong point.

Very central location, practically under the acropolis, and with an amazing back balcony view over the whole beach stretch.

You have to walk from the main vehicle roundabout drop-off (no cars or roads for that matter in the village) through some very narrow, windy alleys to find. Straight forward once you know what direction your heading.

Nice breakfast place just up the street and round the corner from the Pension, which opens at 8am. Croissants, coffee, etc.

Lindos looks to me the best place to stay in Rhodos, said that I really suggest you to stay in this place, a quite oasis in the town easy to get there once you are at the beginning of the village
without running up and down.
A lovely patio terrace looks the bay and the rooms are aside.
A greek lovely lady is running the place, probably one of the few compared with the foreign people who looks have bought all the village.
The rooms are simple but nice and clean. You can share the kitchen with other travellers and enjoy the terrace having your own breakfast or sharing the lunch/dinnar and have a refuge during the peak hours when there are plenty of turist around for a daily trip.
You can enjoy Lindon expecially early in the morning untill 11 and in the afternoon after 16h when the croud left.
Spent only two days but felt I could stay a lot longer ! :-)
Indeed a place to recommend. Hope to be back!

I visited in mid-October and our room was 35 euros/night. High ceilings. Perfectly clean, standard European budget hotel. The terrace view is lovely. There was a large family staying there as well, and they seemed happy.

I would definitely go back there. It is very easy to find. Right on the donkey route up to the acropolis.

My girlfriend and I found Pension Electra a fine place to stay in Lindos--especially considering the cost. We had some trouble finding a place (and even had some cleanliness issues at another place) but Pension Electra worked fine. It is a place where you get at least as much if not a bit more than you pay for.

Lindos seems like a hard place to find a good place to stay at the right price. Electra offered a clean bed, a clean, but old bathroom and AC (not always found in Lindos). Our room was small (but with high ceilings), semi-dark and did not have a window. But it opened up onto a beautiful, large patio with a fabulous view. The woman who runs it doesn't speak much English but she was extremely nice.

I would recommend Pension Electra to someone who was looking for a cheaper option right in Lindos (spend the night in Lindos!).
