What a host! We stayed at Il Ceppo as we were attending a wedding down the road. We were late arriving and the owner, sensing that we might need it, offered us a glass of wine and some cheese on arrival. A really nice touch. We were made feel very welcome. Our room, no. 6, on the top floor, was lovely - spotless and a good size. Breakfast was hands down the best and most impressive breakfast we have ever had. So much food, tea, coffee, juice... and even wine! I echo all of the positive feedback provided - great experience. Really popular spot with locals for lunch. Loved it and would highly recommend staying here.

I stayed at B&B Ceppo for 3 nights in September 2013 with other two colleagues. We booked two rooms, a double and a single. The B&B is located on the Via Cassia Nord - main road connecting Siena to Monteriggioni - so position is convenient if you are here for business reason, less if you are here for exploring the area, as you will need a car at all times. The rooms are very spacious, with all the comforts, nice furniture, comfortable bed, plenty of storage space. Bathrooms are functional with good shower box, simple but more than enough toiletries. There is free parking space and free WI_FI. The main feature of this B&B is the fantastic breakfast that David & co. put together for their guests every morning ! Who said that Italian ( continental breakfast) is poor and boring ? We were offered cold cuts, cheeseboard, all sort of pastries, pies, crostini, plus scramble eggs an even red wine ! Perhaps even too much !....next time do not forget fresh oranges & fruits and some yogurts, it can happen that someone fancy a healthier option ! Overall very good and will highly recommend to clients as well. Thank you !

My partner and I stayed at Il Ceppo for three nights and we cannot recommend it highly enough. We came for a wedding and to be honest booked the cheapest B and B available in the area with no research other than that. We arrived later than planned, just 15 minutes before the bar and reception shut, however Davide made us feel so welcome and insisted we settle into our room before joining him downstairs for not one but two complimentary drinks whilst he answered any questions about our stay and the area, even though he had to go to a family birthday party which he was obviously catering for. The rooms were perfect with amazing views, comfy beds and a spacious bathroom, it was only when we got settled into it that we decided to check Il Ceppo out on the Internet and realised how lucky we had been when booking. The breakfast is correctly described as over indulgent, definitely to excess... A platter of cakes and pastries, savoury slices, fresh bread, jams and spreads, cured meats, cheeses and the best scrambled eggs I've had in a long time. All served with as much coffee, juice and red wine(!) as you like. The amazing hospitality continued throughout the weekend, a waiter spotted I was eating breakfast on my own, the day after the wedding, and insisted on bringing up a full breakfast to the room for my bedridden girlfriend. In summary an amazingly friendly place to stay at a great value. Many thanks to all the team and hope to return

We stayed at Il Ceppo for two nights in September with my wife and 2 year old son. They arranged a small bed for the child. Absolute family friendly in any regard. Amazing food and more than you can eat. The staff is very friendly, they help you prepare your trips in the region and they even give you they're mobile numbers in case you need anything.

We stayed in this lovely place for seven nights and used it as a starting point for seeing Tuscany. The B&B has 12 rooms and is a part of a family run farm. The location is perfect - close to Siena and to the beautiful Monteriggioni, and there are many day-trip options nearby (by car). Our room was nice and spacious, but it was nothing in compare to the service and and hospitality we encountered.
Davide, Raphael and the rest of the staff gave us the feeling that we are the only people staying there (which was obviously not true). From helping us carry our luggage to the room to giving us some very helpful travel tips to the area, everything was done with a smile and with personal care.
We arrived in the afternoon hours and were greeted with some cakes and coffee/tea. "Just a taste of tomorrow's breakfast", Davide told us and refused to receive payment for our little meal. We were then given a map of the area and recommendations on general places to see in Tuscany and on some very nice places to have dinner close to Il Ceppo (we recommend the nearby "Da-Meme").
On the next morning, we were overwhelmed by a HUGE and tasty breakfast served to our table. Local hams, cheeses, pastries, juice, red wine, coffee, tea, jam, fried eggs, the food and drinks just kept coming. Don't worry, if you are a fan of cornflakes you'll also find some on your table. Each morning we had a similar breakfast - with little differences from one day to the other (there was usually a "today's special" plate of some sort). This is absolutely the best breakfast we had in Italy, and actually also in any other B&B/hotel we have been to.
Each morning after breakfast we shared our travel plans for that day with Davide or with Raphael and were given useful tips, suggested driving routes (drawn for us on the map) and suggested places to visit on our way.
The place also has a nice restaurant which is very busy during lunch, full of both locals and tourists.
In the bottom line, we would recommend anyone who intends to visit Tuscany to stay in Il Ceppo. The only disadvantage I could find is that after staying there any other hotel/B&B felt disappointing :)

Not much to say about the room, it was perfect, clean and with modern comfort. But MUCH to say about the people and the food. You are welcome like a friend although they don't know you, and you are showned an incredible hospitability. Breakfast was simply amazing, plenty of homemade food, local, tasty, delicious salty and sweet plates, huge portions, and even wine! Needless to say service is excellent, people are extremelly nice, and it seems locals come in to have a coffee or to buy some food to the owners. This is a 6/5 stars experience that everybody can dream of when looking for a place to stay. Special thanks to who we think was the owner, a really really nice person who can be sure we will keep this Toscan experience in high esteem.

We stayed at Il Ceppo for 3 nights (6-9 July) mainly for Monteriggioni medieval festival but
also for charming Sienna and some other Tuscany gems(Volterra,San Gimignano).
The overall impression it was for sure above our expectations for a B&B.
First of all excellent hospitality and service in everything (rooms, breakfast, tavern).
The rooms are in very good condition with efficient A/C. The food is typical Tuscany with
very good wine. The view from breakfast-launch room(sunflower field and Tuscany hills) is fantastic
and i would dare to say one of the best in the area(especially during breakfast time).
Lastly i would like to thank the people of Il Ceppo (i dealt mainly with Davide and Laura ) which
are excellent professionals and for sure they believe in what they do there.
