My partner and I choose this hotel because it was in the beautiful town of limone, and walking distance to everything. The room was nice and we had are own shared balcony with sun lounges, the pool was unbelievable cold but as soon as you start swimming you warm up, and the view of the mountains whilst swimming were breathtaking. The staff were friendly and very helpfull, they become more like family as the days went on. The only disappointing part was the breakfast, it was to samey everyday. I would definitely come back.

I enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Alexander. Rooms are spacious and clean, staff are friendly and speak very good English, location is great, they have a nice terrace, breakfast was good but can improve in variety. I would definitely go there again.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms at the ground floor near the pool.

My boyfriend I spent a week in this beautiful town on Lake Garda. We were welcomed by very friendly staff who speak very good English and know lots about the surrounding area. Our room was very spacious and clean. We had a great view of the Lake and a spacious sun terrace. The hotel is really well located just outside of the town centre so that it is not too busy and right near the beach. Breakfast was disappointing as there was not much variety so it became very boring after a couple of days. They have croissants and bacon and egg as well as some salami, ham, cheese, yoghurt, fruit, cereal and sweet snack to choose from. The pizza at the restaurant is also really good and well priced. The spa although small is very relaxing however the Jacuzzi is very cold which was a bit disappointing. Overall we were very happy with this hotel and would definitely return.

Just got back from a really enjoyable stay at this Hotel. The rooms were very spacious, clean and well kept. We had room with a balcony overlooking the pool and the views over the lake were beautiful. The staff made us feel very welcome and we certainly didn't feel that they were trying to cater any more for their German guest's than us. I think if you make the effort to chat to them, they are more than happy to engage with you. We would happily go back to this Hotel again and I highly recommend it to others.

I went there for the summer of 2012 and I have to say that I don't regret it at all, the rooms are perfectly clean, of a more than acceptable size and beautifully designed. The view on the lake and on the mountains is just amazing and it's a pleasure to wake up in the morning and stare at it! Staff is fine too and the swimming pool and spa areas are particularly useful at this period. If you're in the region of Lake Garda, don't hesitate!

Room Tip: I'd advise you to take a medium room, with a view on the lake.

We paid extra for a Lakeside view, but actually these rooms are closer to the road and you get quite a lot of traffic noise. It is a lake view only in part and that is quite distant and mostly obsured by the hotel adjacent. The rooms are large and have everything you would expect in a 4 Star Hotel, but basic and lacking in any character. The bathroom arrangement is strange. The toilet is private, but the shower is actually in the room, so only share with a very close friend, if you don't mind not having much privacy. The hotel is lacking a proper bar area so you don't feel encouraged to order drinks or beverages at non meal times. What consitutes the bar area is rather obsured by bushes, so it does not feel very welcoming. Actually we used the hotel over the road for such occasions. While the reception staff were helpfull and attentive, during the day there didn't seem to be any food and beverage staff about, to ask anyway. The hotel seems to cater more for German guests. Only one of the chanels on the TV was tuned to a chanel for English speakers and that was BBC World News, which gets a bit repetitive after a short time. As we were on a half board package we had to chose from a table d'hote menu each evening for the next day. The the food was very mediocre and on occasion dire, but it was sufficient. You could fill up on salad and bread rolls if desired. The chef has no concept of what a vegetarian main meal is, 4 small pieces of different cheese, a lettuce leaf and tomato slice it is not.

Room Tip: If you want to be quiet ask for a room well away from road side or close to outside pool area, unles...

We had a nice room with a balcony with lake-view. Nice means big, well-cooled by the air conditioning and quiet. The swimming-pool area we did not use, but the terrass just next to our room was brilliant for enjoying the late afternoon sun. Furthermore, the Garda lake was just 2 minutes away by foot - very fresh water (some may claim cold...). Breakfast was solid with meats, eggs and bread. Reception desk staff was very helpful which cannot quite be said of the evening waitor seeming almost reluctant to serve us drinks on the terrass.
