Just returned from a wonderfully relaxing holiday at the Hotel Panoroma. The name is well justified with fantastic views from all rooms. The staff are excellent (especially Bianca), the food is ok, for buffet style. To visit other resorts on the west side of the lake, use the bus where possible, they're not very frequent but much cheaper and less crowded than the boats and there is a stop right outside the hotel.

Stayed at this hotel at the end of August after obtaining a late deal through Crystal. Just wanted to have a break for 3 nights and use the hotel for the duration.

Check in was easy, my single room was on the 5th floor. This means going down in the lift which is glass, not for those who suffer from vertigo but shows the view over the lake quite dramatically.

Room was fairly small (abit tired/dated) but clean and comfortable with a sofa and a fridge. A/C very good, controls were behind the curtains. Bathroom was tiny, had to walk into the shower tray each time I wanted to get into the bathroom and close the door, however it was spotless and shower excellent. Only one electric socket to plug electrical items into.....which was in the bathroom! Found that rather irritating as most people need to charge at least one item after a few days, camera, mobile, ipad etc.

However, all that said when I opened the patio door onto the balcony, all the little gripes were forgotten, there is a wonderful view of the lake for miles. My balcony was one up from the lovely swimming pool. Perfect place to read and just relax.

I was on a half board basis, buffet breakfast, plentiful and quite varied, hot and cold to suit most tastes.

Evening meal was also a buffet, not my usual choice and not something I put hand in hand with 4 star hotels in Italy. Once you get your bearings you can find plenty of things to choose from with complimetary wines, beers, mineral water which were unlimited.

There was a superb snackbar which served drinks, snacks, meals etc between set times on the top floor. Again fantastic views.

If you plan on using the complimentary shuttle bus to Limone, be OUTSIDE the hotel at least 5 mins before the time shown, it left 5 mins early and it didn't check to see if anyone was waiting in the foyer.

Overall the hotel was very good, friendly and well run. A good place to relax.

Room Tip: Ask for a lake view, I understand not all face the lake.

We are a couple in our mid twenties and booked this a late deal through Travelzoo on a full board basis.

Great hotel for chilling out and eating some nice grub!

Rooms - once you get over the waist high carpet on the walls and yellow walls its fine. spectacular views from the balcony!

Restaurant - The food was worthy of an award, the chefs do a great job here and you wont be disapointed I quite often ate two meals in one sitting as I just could not resist the food! Breakfast was also very good!

Pool - quite cold, this is the reason i only gave it a 4/5 as they could heat it! plenty of parasols and sunloungers to go round, the steps down to the lake are not that bad but the lake is freezing cold but there is a hotub half way up the steps to warm up in!

In a nutshell I liked this hotel alot and if i was coming back to Limone i would stay here again, also dont worry about the walk into Limone, it takes 20 minutes and its a pleasent walk, we walked in every evening to burn off my two dinners before having a few drinks and catching the shuttle bus back (who does more than one trip if he cannot fit everyone in!).

If your a young couple, you will enjoy this hotel but it is for the maturer crowd! also remember to wear trousers to dinner and if you really want to fit in drape a jumper over your shoulders!

Room Tip: They all have the million pound view!

I would agree with previous two reviewers, excellent service, friendly staff, clean rooms and absolutely outstanding views.Food good choice and would think there would always be something for everyone. Walk to limone wasn't an easy one although lovely. Mini bus shuttle good but could do with being more frequent in afternoon and during evening,a big gap with no return until 11 when bars were shutting at 10 . We had a minibus taxi and shared with another couple which cost 10 euros between us apparently a car was 8. There was entertainment 4 of the 7 nights we stayed. We travelled with crystal and booked a Venice trip prior to going with them it was 10 each cheaper than booking with the rep there. First visit to lake Garda thought it was beautiful and clean .loved the balcony views from this hotel and would certainly return.

Room Tip: Ask for a family room to ensure enough space

Just got back from a week long stay at this lovely hotel. As others have said, the view from your balcony is to die for although the heat made it a bit difficult to stay out there for very long! Early mornings watching the sun rise over Monte Baldo are the kind of thing that make a holiday. Hotel is very clean and well run. The food is plentiful and there was a four course meal every evening with drinks included. The room was kept clean and was very comfortable. We were skeptical about the 25 minute walk to/from Limone but we (in our 60s) managed it in 35 minutes in very hot weather - a pleasant walk but lots of ups and downs. If you're looking for a good place to stay in the Limone area then make it this one. You won't be disappointed.
