We recently stayed at the Hotel Augusta for 2 nights. Camogli is a lovely place, a great place to get a taste of the "real Italy" before hitting the tourist trail on the Cinque Terre.
Our room was basic and fairly small (the bathroom was tiny) and overlooked the road without any sea views.
The hotel was probably twice the distance from the train station than indicated and there are no lifts in the hotel which is an issue if you have heavy suitcases.
The breakfast buffet was an additional 8Euros each and at that price fairly expensive.
The hotel manager was friendly but could not speak English so unless you can speak Italian he won't be able to provide any help with restaurant suggestions, sightseeing tips etc. From some of the guest comments in the foyer I understand his son who can speak English may work there in busier months.
I would definitely recommend a stay in Camogli, and if you are looking for a budget, basic hotel then Augusta will fit the bill but don't expect anything too special.
