Nice, queit, with cont. breakfast. Restaurant with minimalistic but nice menu.Beautiful spa, take your shorts...Very easy access even with train - 20 min from Paris Nord. No free wi-fi. Casino in front if money to spend...Clean rooms, air-con not easy to operate. As overall - good. Try the Morrocan restaurant near the church.

Friendly staff, quite beautiful hotel view on the lake.
The bedroom was a bit outdated but clean and comfy. The High of our stay was the Spa, super nice bubble baths, water jets... plus the sauna and hammam mixt on weekends (cause you know, you get bored alone and sweaty) Magnifique !
Excellent scrambled eggs at breakfast, along with a bunch of food, liked it

My wife and I Stayed 7 days over Christmas 2012 to visit family. Hotel was virtually empty. We stayed here before.

Pros
Great location in beautiful tree lined little city about 20 min outside of Paris. Centered around a lake with a promenade and a Casino, as well as a thermal bathe spa. Looks like a mini Geneva.
Well kept facility.
Room Price was good.
Food prices a little high but not outrageous.
Room service was good, when they got it right.

Cons
Zero heat control; it ran 24/7 like an oven. Had to keeps doors to balcony open all day and all night.
Actually got sick from the constant sweating at 85 deg F then mixing with the 40 deg outside air. It was a catastrophe.
Asked for maintenance to fix it. Ha, what a joke. Suddenly they did not understand my Frence, English or Italian.
One morning housekeeping actually blew by the do not disturb sign on the door just for the hell of it. Bizarre.
On one breakfast order they forgot first the croissants and then the coffee. A continental breakfast is not all that complicated. And it was brought to the room late.
Restaurants in hotel, all of them, were closed Christmas Eve. So were all restos in town. Where exactly were visitors staying at the hotel from say 4,000 miles away supposed to eat? Frankly they did not give a damn.
The bottom line is that there is an aire of indifference that permeates the staff. Like much of France they have a no can do attitude.
I say stay in centre Paris and take a day trip to visit Enghien Les Bains.

Outdated hotel, not at all what I expected. Heating in the very 70s room did not work. No Wine in the mini bar, the atmosphere in this hotel was totally depressing. Luckily we found à great italian restaurant around the corner since the offer of other restaurants was also quite disappointing.

Looks ok from the outside, inside needs attention. We went to a wedding there and there was a few of us, lake view was ok. If you order a taxi from reception a friend of the manager turns up, expect to pay double. Charged 90 euros to get to the airport at 11am. I won't stay again.

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else, don't book a taxi from reception

I think that if this hotel didn't have the lake opposite, i may only give it a 3 or maybe 2 star. We stayed for a few nights in August, and wouldn't hesitate to stay in Enghien again. The hotel is 10 -15 mins walk to the station which is 12 mins to Gare Du Nord for just over 3 euros.

This hotel is owned by the same owners as the next door hotel, and the casino. With our stay we had a complimentary voucher for the casino which was superb - although if we had lost money my tune may be different! We also enjoyed use of the spa which was very good - nicer than a David Lloyd with a variety of massage options in a large multi stage jacuzzi.

The room was alright, no aircon, but a great balcony and view over the lake. Bed was comfortable. strangely no kettle in the room!

Hotel was undergoing a refurb in the lobby which was pretty poorly worked around. a gift of a keyring to apologise was a little insulting. I didn't eat breakfast as for 19 Euros i felt it quite pricey. However, there was a lack of coffee shops to have a drink and pastry, so you're limited. we ended up either getting McD's takeaway coffee and croissants from the supermarket and sitting on the balcony, or going into the city earlier than we planned.

depending on how the refurb turns out, and what price you're about to get for your stay, it may be a great hotel. My experience in Paris and Enghien was 5 star, thinking of the hotel alone it isn't worth near that. 3/4 stars, but because of the lake view, it's a 4.

I booked their summer package with 'superior' room as a gift. It's a shame that the hotel did not live up to our expectations - it would take so little to make it a little corner of paradise in Enghien! First, not all of the superior rooms are the same - don't hesitate to ask to be changed if you are given one with a tiny balcony! The champagne which comes as part of the package was lukewarm, the lobby is being renovated so the entrance looks like a building site - surely they could have closed for a few days to do the work? But the ultimate disappointment is that as guests of the hotel you are only allowed to access the pool/spa facilities once during your stay! I have never experienced this in any other establishment and find it very strange. If you want to go for a session in the gym when you arrive and then maybe a swim in the morning before breakfast - tough! You have to choose one or the other (Or pay the 60€ price tag for non-resident access to the spa). A hotel that sells itself on its spa experience really should reconsider this penny pinching policy.
