We stayed here one night because we had an early flt home. Check in was very slow. The computer system seems overly complicated for the clerks. Our first room had no hot water so we had to switch rooms. Otherwise the room was fine with free wi fi and good T V. Dinner however was a little off putting. There were 2 wait people for the big dinning room so service was slow. In addition There were 3 "hostesses" who seemed totally confused. Arguing with waiters and running around with orders they did not know who ordered them. Food was ok but a limited menu. I think there are better choices at the airport however the rate was reasonable. The shuttle driver was a delight.

We spent one night at the Hyatt Place Amsterdam Airport in May for a rather moderate rate compared to other 4* hotels in the neighborhood and were overall very pleased with the price-quality-ratio.

ROOM:
We booked a Standard Double Room which was on the 3rd floor and had the view over the parking lot. Higher floors most probably provided nicer views over the city... The room was extremely spacious for a Standard room and had a big bright bathroom with shower, heated floor, a couch with table in the corner next to the king-sized bed, large, noise-proof windows, coffee and tea facilities and air conditioner. WiFi was excellent and easily accessible. The only minus points are the 'new' smell of the room (probably from the floors, furniture or wallpaper) and that some bath amenities were lacking, such as cotton buds, comb or shower cap. There was no slide-in spot for the room key card, which is not a problem for guests, but definitely won't help saving energy.

CHECK-IN:
The check-in was perfectly and quickly done by Brandon, who was very welcoming, helpful and explained everything that guests need to know in an efficient time and friendly manner. He even recommended restaurants and provided directions. His service quality was excellent!
Parking is completely free if you stay at the hotel.

BREAKFAST:
In the morning, there is complementary breakfast between 6 and 10 a.m. (the time frame is always the same for every day!). There were vast choices for bread, fruits and spreads. However, there were only 2 options for juices, ham, cheese and eggs. The spreads were packed in small single-use packages which also produce lots of garbage.

CHECK-OUT:
We could check out until 12 p.m.. The check-out was efficiently done and in a friendly and timely manner, but we were not asked for giving feedback. It seemed as though the receptionist just ran the procedure and was not interested in our opinion about our stay. This was not the same receptionist as on the check-in day.

OVERALL IMPRESSION: Very positive as the hotel is still new, service was all in all very good to excellent, and it is located close to the airport and Hoofddorp city, which is perfectly suitable for business guests. Hyatt Place has been performing well, considering that the hotel has only been opened since January 2014. In order to become a serious competitor for established hotels such as Hilton and NH, energy and waste management should receive a stronger focus.

We stay here for one night. The hotel and the room was clean, modern. Locate near the airport. Lots of tourists. Good service. Free wifi anywhere. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. The room was good but small.

Stayed here from 2nd May to 4th May. We couldn't find any cheaper hotels and thought we were getting a really good deal as we went by the Hyatt name.

Beware this is not an actually Hyatt but one that has most probably tied up with them.

Bad

-> Hotel shuttle doesn't stop at the allocated shuttle stops at the airports, its further down where there is no sign board. Also they stop the shuttle around 10 pm so good luck with that.
-> They seemed to have problems with hotel doors the first night, to get in and out we had to press a buzzer where a recptionist who had signed us in previously asked us the reason for us to go in.
-> Far from Amsterdam, it will cost you 50 Euros by taxi or a shuttle to Airport and then a train into central Amsterdam.
-> They forgot to replace coffee etc next day and even after we told the receptionist there was no change to that situation.
-> Fridge is empty in the hotel room.
-> Staff needs more training in how to be courteous to guests.
-> Absolutely nothing nearby other then a business park, no shops etc.

Good
-> Neat and clean rooms.
-> Bed is really comfortable.
-> Spacious rooms.

The main reason for a poor rating is that we booked this hotel based on the Hyatt name. Going ahead I will be more careful in staying at these type of hotels

Stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel is brand new. Opened 2 months ago. Everything is spacious, clean and well-designed. Rooms are big. Heated floors in the bathrooms are a nice touch. The staff are great! Laura (reception) was very friendly and helpful. She drove us herself to the airport when their shuttle bus was full and couldn't fit us.
Breakfasts are not bad and included in the price. For dinners they offer buffet (€23). Delicious food.
It takes about an hour to get to Amsterdam city centre by shuttle and train, but it is better than driving. Not complicated.

Hordes of people at check in - restaurant only had a buffet with a VERY slim selection. No minibar, no roomservice, no bathrobes, no CNN, BBC World, CNBC, Bloomberg (missing or black screen). Room climate system stuffy on all settings. All the good reviews must have been something they bought.

To add insult to injury they then sent unsolicited mails after without the option to opt out.

NOT suited for business travel - stay away!

We stayed here for one night and everything was perfect. We found the hotel easily by car and the next day took the convenient shuttle to the airport and then the train into the heart of Amsterdam. The bedrooms were very comfortable (as a family of 5 we had two interconnecting rooms) and had everything you needed including a fridge and hairdryer and large bathrooms. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Staff friendly and welcoming. I would not hesitate to recommend and will certainly be staying here myself again.
