Fab slides, armbands required for under 120 cm, but little kids could sit on your knees, great for all ages but some big queues to get in.

My Children spent hours in the Tikibad during our visit to Wassenaar. Wow - truly amazing place. Clean, helpful staff, lots to do and open late! What more can you ask for

Second time staying at the adjacent Duinrell with daily access to the Tikibad pool. Both times our visits have been in October and the pool and flumes have not been too busy, no queueing for rides but I can imagine my impressions would be quite different in high season!
If you are staying at Duinrell it costs 3.5 euros for a two hour session at any time, the complex being open 10 am -10 pm. We felt this was better than on the previous occasion when it was two hours free entry but only between 10 am -2 pm which cut right across the day.The normal entry fee is 16 euros.
We liked that the pool was open late as it meant we could go after a day out and about sightseeing or after using the adjacent theme park.
This is the most amazing place with all sorts of flumes and slides, a space bowl, lazy river, raft ride, jacuzzis and a pool with wave machine, water cannons and fountains. I cannot understand reviews saying there is nowhere to swim, there is a large pool, granted you can't do serious lane swimming but there is plenty of room to swim in it or try circuits of the pool that is half inside and half outside, easy to swim circuits here and interesting to be in the warm water outside in the rain! In the Summer there is also a large outdoor pool. Back inside there is a toddler splash pool and shallow areas in the main pool with gentle slides. There are rides that I have never seen before such as a near vertical slide and a vertical flume where to start you stand inside, press a button and the floor falls away. The only similar places I have been in the UK are Splashdown in Poole and Water world in Stoke on Trent but Tikibad knocks spots off both of these venues.
There are loungers, chairs and tables around the pool and an upstairs food outlet.
Staff were friendly and helpful, plenty of lifeguards around, less regimented than in the UK, no constant whistle blowing and you can't do this or that plus you can take cameras in so its a good opportunity for photos of the family having fun.
Showers were hot and the there were plenty of lockers. The changing cubicles are small but there is an ingenious method whereby you enter the cubicle on one side in your outdoor shoes then leave on the opposite side in bare feet right by the lockers and the reverse when you get dressed so you never walk on dirty floors in bare feet, but of course there is always someone who doesn't follow the system! Staff were constantly cleaning the changing areas which we found to be very clean.
There is something here for all ages and adrenaline junkie level and we have used the facility every day on both our stays, very good value and two hours is long enough when there are no queues as all the stair climbing to the rides and exertion on them is quite exhausting!
Highly recommended and will visit again.

The slides and rides are great - if you like that sort of thing! It did get very busy however, even in September when we were there. The downside was that the outdoor pool was closed as we were out of the main season, so there was nowhere to actually swim. If you have active kids this will really use up some energy!
