The hotel shares its entrance with a nursing home. The part of the hotel where our group was staying also looked like it might have been a converted nursing home. Rooms were functional, almost spartan. The beds were okay, but the rest of the room was furnished with cheap furniture in an unsuccessfull attempt to look stylish. The bathroom was a barebones affair which may have looked good in the nineties, but was longing for a renovation. There was no wireless internet connection available.
Staff was okay, but not overly friendly. The location is dreary. Not that it looks run down, it's just that the view is either the nursing home or the uninteresting parking lot.
If you plan to stay here, please avoid the restaurant for diner. The vegetarian dish I had was palatable, but the meats of the other people in the group were undercooked. The fish should have been left in the sea. Breakfast and lunch were okay, although they ran out of several items during both meals. The kitchen just does not seem to be able to handle this number of people.
I can only recommend this place to people who need a place to stay for Carnival.More
