Owner description: The Laguna Golf Course has earned a reputation as being a somewhat unique offering within the Vilamoura golf portfolio. While its many water hazards and few trees set it apart, it truly finds its individuality in the number of holes which convey characteristics of a traditional links layout. American golf course architect Joseph Lee was given the responsibility for setting out the Laguna Course over low-lying coastal terrain, and in this setting was able to establish 18 holes which offer a wide variety of playing conditions. No.Holes: 18 | PAR: 72 | Length: 6121 m | Slope Rating: 129 | Architect: Joseph Lee | Location: Vilamoura, Algarve The Facilities: Clubhouse | Golf Shop | Driving Range | Putting Green | Bar/Restaurant | Buggy Bar | Valet Service | Free WiFi

Played here in May on a twilight rate, buggies were 30 euros. Course was in fine condition, we felt it offered much better value for money than Pinhal which was slightly more expensive with inferior conditioning. Not as much water as other reviews suggested but plenty to keep you on your toes. Not as challenging/difficult as the Victoria or quite tight Old Course.

As the name suggests there is a lot of water on this course so if you are partial to a slight hook then you may want a couple extra balls for the round. When you get onto the greens though they are all very similar speed and the course is very well kept - we went in May so the temperature was very good and a 9am start assured a buggy.

The Laguna offers very challenging golf holes, but is kept in very pristine condition, like it's bed buddy the Millennium course the service of staff, and traveling snack buddy service is good on very hot days, buggies recommended as it's a long course to walk.
