We stayed here for a short easter break and found the hotel looked dated from the outside, however the inside was superb and looked recently refurbished. The staff were freindly and helpful. Our room was on the third floor and the veiw of the sea was great. The room was a little small but very clean with a flat screen tv and a very nice bathroom with a monsoon shower head. the only real problem we had with the room was that the bed was not that comfortable. The breakfast provided was fine with a good selection but did not vary at all in our four day stay. The grounds were nice and there were always plenty of spare sun beds although the muzak may not be to everyones taste! the pool bar food was very expensive for what it was but there are a large number of local cafes in walking distance, they are still expensive but a better alternative.
The only realy bad thing about this hotel is the Peppers Steakhouse which looks amazing but sadly is Not! the food was very poor and very expensive. I had a rib eye steak that was so tough it was inedible my partner had a rump which was thin and also tough, the onion rings were proccesed and the spinach was liquidized, at 80 euros for two mains and a bottle of wine i expected better.
I would definatly come back here again as the hotel on the whole is superb.

We travelled to Portugal for a week of relaxation and this is exactly what we got. The Tivoli Marina Hotel is the perfect location for this resort as all the good restaurants are located around the beautiful marina on the door step of the hotel. We opted for the one of the renovated rooms on the 6th floor marina view and it was fantastic. The buffet breakfast was brilliant for both variety and food quality. The bar area was very quiet but that was possibly due to the time of the year. We would most definitely return to this hotel again.

As a modern 5 star beach hotel the Tivoli Marina is fairly typical of the genre but does not disappoint. This is a hotel with good facilities and strong service as you would expect. Its stand out feature is its perfect location with the superb beach on one side and the marina on the other side. Also worth a mention is the ample (and free) car parking spaces, many under cover, that are at a premium in this busy resort.

The large pool area with many, quality sun loungers and extensive gardens protects from the breeze on the beach, which is only a few strides away. If the weather is inclement there is also a good sized indoor pool.

The basic double rooms are large enough with king sized bed, flat screen TV (unusually with lots of non-local channels), separate desk, table and chairs, mini bar and safe. The bathroom was a reasonable size with his and hers sinks and shower over the bath.

All rooms have a reasonable sized balcony with good views of either the beach or marina. My standard room had two plastic adjustable chairs and a small table.

I only used the restaurant for breakfast. This was a good quality buffet style except for waiter service for tea and coffee. The choice of cold food was extensive although there was a limited choice of hot breakfast (e.g. no cooked tomatoes, mushroom or black pudding) although there were cooked pancakes made to order.

Service overall was good with all staff being friendly and helpful. The only slight negative is the bed turn down service. This is a fairly typical service in 5 star hotels but I have never really seen the point of. The maid tended to turn up at my room to turn down the beds at 18:30 which is likely to be the time a lot of people are getting dressed to go out for dinner. To my mind this is an out of date concept that could easily be dropped.

Room Tip: Dont upgrade, all rooms have great views.

Whilst the outdoor pool area with plenty of space and loads of very comfortable sun loungers, the quality of the food at breakfast and the size of the room were very positive points, there were a number of negatives which stem from the (lack of effective) management.
For example, most days in the two weeks housekeeping was "incomplete"with sometimes left for just erson, on two occasions used as clean, other guests rubbish left in our room, our "sealed" rubbish opened and some left in our room and this despite two maid services each day.
Building work was going on to the outside of the hotel throughout including weekends on the marina side and for the first week on both sides but no hint of apology from the staff at the lack of availability, in effect, of the balcony.
A parking exit ticket valid for two days was given on arrival but at no time were the barries in operation - in nor out.
No advice was given about lack of vehicle access to the hotel whilst Vilamoura's one way system was being sorted.
Whilst the breakfast buffet was wide ranging in choice, t varied little over the two weeks - intentionally apparently.

Yes, we would stay there again but only after reading subsequent reviews.

Room Tip: Read the reviews carefully and there are a lot ofs

Just returned back from a weekend at this hotel with a large group of friends. What can I say..... this is the first hotel I have checked into without moaning, or asking to be moved! We were on the 8th floor with a sea view. We booked a delux room, which certainly lived upto everything we could have asked for. It was our wedding anniversary whilst we were there and a lovely bottle of champagne and strawberries was put in our room. What a lovely touch, everything about this hotel is top notch. The spa, the indoor pool / sauna / jaccuzzi area. The staff were fantastic, and couldnt do enough for you. Dont hesitate to book..... will definaltey be returning and shall be taking my two young children with me too.

it is difficult to find fault with the Tivoli. Bedrroms very good, choose sea view as the marina views can be cold on the balcony. Best Breakfast inPortugal. Bar very pleasant. Did no use Restauarnt as it looked rather expensive.
Right by all the action so handy for bars and shups.
