We have just returned from a week at Oasis village. The apartments were clean, and were cleaned every day. Sheets and towels changed regularly. The grounds are lovley and well kept. Staff i reception were helpful. The restaurant was fine and the staff friendly, Swimming pool in very pleasant grounds. It is about 30 minutes walk to vilamoura or the beach, there is a courtesy bus three times a day.

This hotel has 3 complexs i.e. Parque Mouralas, Oasis Village, Pe-Do-Lago and Ive seen all great valve for money. Sleep well, Swim, Eat, Drink be Merry, and get on with your holiday,Enjoy.

From the hospitality shown on my arrival in reception to my allocated 1 bed apartment, fully fitted kitchen, really large balcony I was more than pleased.
I was also nicely surpised at the positive approach of the General Manager Joaquim Sa Pereira and all the staff very friendly and helpful the piority being to please so we would return back here.

I hired a yes a push bike (Megasport) and covered both short/long hops from a complex at expats Parkys Bar close by, on then to the large Marina and Vilamoura town all having beautiful walkways down there for a stroll and right along the beach front to Quarteira a lively and fun place, yes I even rode my bike along the cost line and villages right to Albufeira AND BACK in one Day, this not for everyone but lovely way to spend the day and earned a couple of drinks afterwards,
I have to say this hotel and holiday experience was one of the best Ive had in my years aboard at a modest price paid (and Ive holiday around the world) and so I decided to stay one more week, as the bill boards say

"I WASNT BORN HERE BUT ITS WHERE I BELONG"

YOU TRY IT TOO !!!!!

Hotel Staff and Vilamoura

We went a week ago in mid April. There was some refurbishment painting etc but it was no bother. Ignore the frankly bizarre negative comments. The staff are great. The reception bar and restaurant is minutes away and we stayed at the end block. The studios are on three floors ask for the highest as more sun in evening. There is a great restaurant and some bars 5 minutes walk to the left as you come out of reception. it is only a 20 minute walk down a garden themed path in the middle of the main road to Vilamoura to reach the fantastic beach and Marina. We got a great deal through lowcostholidays and the transfer via resorthoppa was only 40 minutes. We had a studio room but was very roomy and had a balcony with a kitchen that had everything and some English channels .Would definitely go again. Pat

Room Tip: Ask for a room on third floor

Just back from Mid-term break Apartments OK. If you're looking for any exciement Villamoura not the place to go. Very quiet, Harbour lovely Restaurants quite expensive cake & coffee 5 Euro ( in Albufeira the same was 2.50euro ) Harbour was a good 15/20 minute walk from the apartments. These were secluded more 2 star than 3 apartments; kitchen ok, apartment freezing at night, very few electric sockets (4 in all) one in Bathroom was very loose one beside sink for kettle risked getting electric shock if you happened to have water running. One in the main living area for side light or heater (We decided on heater) one for microwave had to move table around so lead would reach. Beds 2 single sofa beds. If going here Hire a Car there are lots of lovely places along the coast. If you like Golf Villamoura is the place for you just pick a better hotel. All in all enjoyed the week would we go back? maybe, would it be to this hotel? No

Went in early December so we expected it to be quiet. We were impressed with the apartment and the grounds. There was not much entertainment - but then there were hardly any guests (and in fact the bars and restaurants were deserted). The reception staff were very helpful and spoke good English. We chose a studio apartment which was huge and extremely well equipped. It was unexpected to have the benefit of BBC1 and Film4 on the TV.
We had a hire car so the location was fine. Otherwise it is a 20 minute walk into the town - or the lovely beaches. However those walks are delightful - like walking through a park. We found that the local supermarkets were expensive - so it is better to find one of the Lidl Stores.
If you have a hire car be careful about parking near the marina. It is not very obvious that the spaces are 'pay and display' so you might, like me, get a 8 Euro parking ticket.

We have just come back from oasis village and were worried after reading reviews here. However, we were pleasantly surprised once we arrived at oasis village. The studio apartment was spacious, well maintained and excellent value for money. The decor was 90s, but everything worked and it was always kept spotless by the cleaners. The balcony was large and the pools were all clean, quiet and in lovely gardens. Go to the pe do lago pool because nobody uses it and it us very quiet. The only criticism is that the apartments are about 20 minutes walk to the marina, but it was through lovely, well-lit gardens and wasn't as bad as some people have said. There are 3 trains and hourly buses to the centre for those who would prefer not to walk. All in all the apartments were really nice, in well maintained gardens and clean. The holiday was excellent value, so glad we picked the oasis apartments!

Resort spotless, lovely grounds.
Studio spotless and everything we needed.
Large balcony.
Food reasonably priced but nothing special. Dining room like a canteen.
Entertainment - karaoke was fun to watch but singer / guitarist was in his 70s, couldn't sing and was watching the TV screen more than playing / singing (thankfully because he was awful) - no other entertainment all week! Bar boring and shoddy seating....so low it must be made for children.
Shuttle bus to main resort 3 times a day, 09:30, 11:00 & 16:00 - not often enough and not big enough to accommodate everyone so he had to leave some people and come back later for them.
Tourist train passes resort so can hop on that for reasonable fee but it's a slow way to head for the beach and does not come anything like the times it is supposed to!
Oasis Village is a long way from the Marina & beaches. Someone told us it was a 20 minute walk to the marina so we walked back from it one day and it took 40 minutes or more. We were not walking slowly.
One man on reception told us lies! We asked about a bus going to Olhos d'Agua and he said there was no bus direct, we would have to change several times and there was nothing to see at Olhos d'Agua. Liar! The bus goes direct (5 minute walk from apartments to bus stop) and Olhos d'Agua is beautiful. Paradise even! Lots to see and do & loads cheaper than Vilamoura. Rock formations & caves on the beach there. Clifftop walks and trails. Lovely little beach. Many tavernas. Cheap cafes. Gift shops.
Vilamoura itslef - marina can be expensive and any gifts are much dearer here than say in Quarteira next door. Do not eat or drink at the beaches unless you are loaded as they have rip-off prices!
Sun loungers were empty on beaches - people tending to have own beach mats & parasols. Beaches beautiful though. Breathtaking.
Do not book trips via hotel as they add on a booking fee to the price. Find your own tour operator. if you go to Olhos d'Agua you will find a ticket office & the trips are way way cheaper booked there. They can still pick you up at Oasis Village.
The Oasis Village is really too far out of the main resort and there are virtually no other places to eat or drink nearby. We found a little haven about 10 minutes walk away with a couple of bars & a couple of great restaurants. We spent evenings there.
Another restaurant with a pool, which is near the shop, just a couple of minuts walk from Oasis Village, was more like a cafe in appearance and yet charged us 14 euros for a small jug of sangria!!!
Taxis - beware of the overcharge. Terry saw the meter reading but one chap added another 2 euros on that for himself!
Can recommend visiting Cerro da Vila (archaeological site and museum in Vilamoura, lots to see).
Walk through from marina Beach to Quarteira. Lots cheaper to eat here. Lovely beaches.

Room Tip: All the rooms look pretty good.
