Also known as Parque Mourabel, the resort is reasonably handy for Vilamoura centre. Check-in was trouble free. The garden surrounding the pool is pleasant and the pool itself is clean though the water was very cold. However, soon after arrival (same evening) we reported the A/C not working properly. One week later it had still not been repaired, this is despite requests for attention. The room was basic, with (literally) bottomless drawers and a wardrobe so close to a bed that access was almost impossible. Bed linen wasn't changed all week, so we had to use all available beds in order to sleep on clean sheets. Room servicing consisted of towel change, waste bin emptying and wetting the tile floor with a damp mop. Most days it wasn't done until late afternoon, one day it didn't get done at all - until we complained. Optional breakfast consisted of scrambled egg, bacon and beans, all of which was almost cold. We only suffered that once! The bar was tiny, dark, smoke-filled and laid out like a waiting room. Quite unpleasant.
All-in-all, a place to avoid. We certainly will never go back there!

Having read quite a few reviews of the Oasis Village before travelling I was a little surprised that no one had mentioned the busy dual carriage way running alongside the property! We requested a room move due to the road noise and after 18 hours of repeated requests we were moved to a much better apartment with less road noise.
The apartments are very tired and in need of an update, although when your staying there and the apartment below is being updated it's both very noisy and very messy! Even a good jet wash or lick of paint would be a vast improvement. Maid service consisted of, emptying bins once and a change of towels twice in the week. The rooms are spacious and cold, heating is via a very small radiator which is inadequate. During our week stay 4 other parties asked to change their rooms due to lack of cleanliness or noise.
The "bar /restaurant" on the complex is situated at the Mourabel and appears to be a converted garage. With neither warmth or welcome.
"Restaurants and bars nearby" consisted of 2 bar's in an underground area, a cafe, and restaurant fitted out with plastic coca cola tables and chairs! The marina and its attractions are a 5 minute taxi ride away and prices for cabs vary on who's driving it would appear. Courtsey bus from complex runs only twice a day! We are seasoned travellers and have never felt strongly enough to write a review before, however, I feel people are being badly misled by the brochures on this complex and should be aware of its problems. A lot of work need to be done to bring these apartments up to even the3 star standard it has somehow been awarded. Redeeming features - the gardens.

Like a home from home, the appartments were great, really simple yet comfortable. We had enough mod cons to keep us going through the week, the only downside was that wwe only had one English speaking channel. The hotwater system was a little outdated for the fact the we had to wait for the tank to fill up before we could have a shower. The maid's came in and tidied everyday which was great.
Service at reception was great, very friendly and spoke excellent English. The site had a restaurant which serves fabulous food, I recommend the melon. The bar had great entertainment really enjoyable .
Overall a great place and I would recommend it to anyone.
