The is one of the best resorts in Vilamoura! Me and my partner had a wonderful time here, we would definitely visit this resort again!
Staff were friendly, atmosphere was nice and the service was 10/10!
The only down side was this was more a family resort than a couples only, never the less the place was beautiful!

Room Tip: All the rooms are the same, All that changes is the view unless you opt for a suite!

nice time for spending holidays because of the green and blue climate (due to the lake and swimmings pools). I really recommend for a familiy or couple holidays.

Room Tip: apartments (c and d) next to the lake are quiter and have a better view.

Just got back from a very relaxing and luxurious holiday at The Lake Resort. We stayed in a two bed apartment facing the lake which was a stones throw from the pools. My daughters, five and eight years, had a fabulous time in the pool and thoroughly enjoyed two afternoons at the koala club. We fell in love with the pool areas and found the days just slipped away as we relaxed on the loungers or on one of the chill out beds. The staff at the pool area deserve a special mention-they try to cater to your every need, getting you cushions, parasols and children's toys to enhance your time there. Other positive points-Friday night barbecue is definitely worth doing, the food was superb! The marina is close by for lots of bars and restaurants-go to the streets off it though for better value and better tasting food. The beach is a short walk away but we decided after an hour of being there that we missed the pool area and decided to go there instead! Thank you Lake Resort for a memorable, relaxing, luxurious family holiday with excellent customer service.

Room Tip: We were in D02 which I would definitely recommend. Lovely view of the lake, very quiet, slightly awa...

We have just returned from spending two weeks at the Lake Spa Resort and would highly recommend it to couples, families, and the more mature clientele. The resort offered everything you could wish for, from fantastic breakfast selection, to indoor kids club by the pool, a fantastic spa and not to mention a superb restaurant loacted in the hotel (Fusion - but advise you to book a table early as fills up quickly) really fantastic food. Friendly reception staff, and helpful waiting staff (minus the usual one or two) made our stay extremely personal and we had many a great conversation with them. We had a toddler with us, and whilst he could not participate in the kids club activities (aged 3+) he was able to play in the club under our supervision, along with the play park and football/tennis pitch. The lake itself offers gorgeous walks with the pram or without of course. The beach is not far at all, and is a pleasant walk over a bridge. The first beach bar you come to was lovely and ideal for lunch, plus a wee bit cheaper than the pool bar. The pool area was impecable, as were the toilets and eating areas. 3 pools on offer, of varying temperatures, but once your in them, they are great. Rooms were lovely, only grievance I have with the roooms which were clean, spacious and well maintained by housekeeping daily, were the pillows on the bed - AWFUL! We got them changed and they were marginally better, but not to our comfort. There was a bit of a drain smell from the shower, but it soon left once shower was run frequently.
The resort is just a short walk and an enjoyable one at that, to the marina (which in itself is quite pricey as is most tourist areas, but some lovely little finds in the back streets.) I must mention Thai Restaurant Thailandes behind the marina - superb! Nosolo Italia on the Marina is amazing and is always busy - eat there and you will see why - fabulous! We travelled into the neighbouring town of Quarteira and had lunch in O Jacinto and O Dallas several times - not much to look at, but gorgeous food and friendly staff. If the locals are eating there, I would say its a good sign. We would walk back from Quarteira along the beach meeting the marina - a longer walk, but lovely.
All in all, a fantastic resort offering all the amenities you could ask for, very family orientated also and we definitely would return and recommend to everyone.

Just came back from a 5 day break at The Lake Spa resort - can thouroughly recommend it for a quick break.

We flew via Easyjet from Southend Airport (big grey tin shed in Essex). Flight was ok, no major delays and the resort is only 10 minutes from Faro Airport. I would recommend you get the hotel to pick you up as we found out that the taxi driver at the airport took the scenic route to the hotel and overcharged us!

Hotel was great, concierge and reception welcoming and everything was efficient with the minimum of fuss. We had a panoramic room - was spacious, clean and modern - good views over resort and sea views.

Pools were nice - we stayed most of the time with the pool with a little beach area - had a lovely cababna and the pool service was excellent.
I would recommend the 3-5 minute walk over to the beach - it's amazing, clean and long with good amenities.

Spa was amazing, a littel expensive, but amazing - we had a great a massage and the spa pool and turkish bath are great.

We ate out every night - lots of restaurants in the marina to choose from. Breakfast was a gret buffet. I's recommend the Flute champagne bar for drinks - Kevin the barman is excellent.

If you can get a last minute deal to this hotel - go for it!

Stayed here for 4 nights for a family holiday. The hotel is about 5 minutes outside of the main port area, which is not too bad, just a slow stroll in for a bite to eat. Also its about 5-10 minutes to the main beach through their grounds and out a locked gate at the back. on arrival, the hotel felt nice and spacious and did not have the "corporate feel" like many hotels, in fact for a large hotel it was quite personal. Our rooms were not ready on arrival but we were early, but they took my mobile number and called me when they were. In the meantime we were allowed to use the Spa for changing which was nice. We only used the spa pools but they had many different types of treatments and steam rooms, very well kept with free tea and water. The outside had 3 pools, two rectangles and one oval with a sandy shore. The grounds were well kept with a mixture of paving, decking and grass. Towels are provided (dont lose your key, 20 euro deposit) and there were beds however be warned, im summer they tell you there is not enough to go round. the pools were warm enough to swim but not too hot and not too cold and these were over looked by a bar which served food and drink. Prices were not too expensive, just the usual for the pound to sterling. Service was good and polite but i felt sorry for the staff as they were always busy running around. Breakfast is a buffet service, once again staff were busy and it was a hectic affair. A small area for so many people. Food was ok but the whole event needs improving. The hotel had a gym, very basic weights, not really worth it with some cardio and it had an open front so it got hot! We never used the restaurants so cant pass comment. The rooms were nice and clean and a decent size. The toilet was in a different room to the bath/walkin shower. All facilities were provided in the room, radio, TV (numerous lnaguages) chocolates at night, etc the only down side AC was noisey and the bathroom smelt damp and sufferred from an uncomfortable bed. Check out was easy and all in all and nice hotel which would stay again. Oh BTW a very family hotel (lots of small children!!!)

We stayed for 3 nights at this hotel and it was a great hotel. The location on the marina was great for different restaurants. I have to say 2 things let this hotel down, but this could be we have been spoilt by the class of hotels we have stayed in previously. The sunloungers were metal beds with no cushions, you could ask for a pillow which really didn't help and made for an unpleasant stay around the pool area, there were a few big beds but these were usually reserved really early, our second bug bear was the towel card system, you were issued with a card per person and had to trot up to the attendants to request your towel, not what we are used to at all. A good 5 star hotel would have an attendant spreading a towel on your cushioned lounger before you had put your bags down, and you could have as many as needed. As anyone with children will know you need more than one towel when they come out of the pool. The sandy beach pool looks really great as well. There is a lovely lake that has pedelolo's which were free to use and these were great, my 9yr old son loved going on these with his dad. The food at the lagoon bar was very good too. Overall we enjoyed our weekend but would think twice about going back unless they invest in some decent sunloungers and give their guests some credit and scrap the silly towel card system.
