“Great value for 3 euro a head”
Reviewed 21 June 2014

A good break from the modern life of the marina and yet what you see reminds you that these enjoyed the good life back then with baths, steam rooms, etc over a large site ( it does require your imagination but the info boards in English and Portuguese hel)

“A roman ruin well worth visiting”
Reviewed 12 June 2014

Have visited several roman ruins in the UK and thought this would be the same, but it is definitely different. It was very interesting and the descriptions around the site are very good. You get a real idea of what Roman life was like.

“Cultural Visit Greatly enjoyed”
Reviewed 11 June 2014 via mobile

We visited this villa out of curiosity and we loved it! It's beautifully and filled with information. It was a bit of surprise to see how far the Romans spread and we were transported to a fully functioning roman village where products were made, people socialised and how families spent their time. Would highly recommend a visit here!

“Complete contrast to the marina area just a few metres away.”
Reviewed 8 June 2014

Visted with our kids, who enjoyed as it brought to life what they had done in history at school. Big contrast to the hustle and bustle of the marina area. Well worth a visit and just beside the marina.

“How the romans lived in Vilamoura”
Reviewed 3 June 2014

The roman villa site is not very obvious, in fact we missed it the first time around. Entrance is 3euros and it is nicely presented with an easy to understand guide leaflet provided with the ticket. The illustrations of how it used to be were very imaginative and a small museum of roman artifacts is housed in the main building.
