Very nice place to stay in Vilamoura. Good restaurant, a little on the expensive side but nothing is cheap in Vilamoura. Only slight downsides are walk to the marina is a bit far if your mobility is not good. Needs a shuttle bus. Plus lifts are often full of cleaning staff with loads of bags during the day so long wait sometimes necessary. Staff are really friendly and helpful. People still put towels on sun beds then don't turn up for hours, despite the resort saying that they will remove them - they don't! Big pools and indoor pool with jacuzzi are very nice.

Have been a member for 11 years and always enjoy our stay at the Fourseasons. There have been quite a few renovations made over the last 2 - 3 years, most have been to the gardens, restaurant(s) and lounge areas, they look terrific. The snooker room and basement chill out lounge are a great place place to hang out. The staff never fail to go out of their way to offer amazing service. The resort offers something for almost everyone, you can just relax or use the many facilities offered. Dining areas and food choice is excellent. Three super outdoor pools and one in door pool to suit most swimmers needs. It's a lovely place to say. Sadly some of the apartments are beginning to look a bit dated. Apart from new baths, new tile boarders in the bathroom, light fittings and a lick of emulsion paint the rooms are just the same as they were 11 years ago...comfortable granted, but need bringing into the 21st century. One thing that has always baffled me at the Four seasons is, why do you have a stand up shower in the bath instead of freestanding cubicle or walk in showers(or both?) This makes showering difficult and dangerous for elderly and disabled guests. Stepping in to and over the side of the bath isn't ideal or safe! Safety grab handles / rails have only just been fitted in the bath to steady yourself whilst taking a shower...very welcome but it feels like it's taken you a long time to address an issue that should be second nature and a very obvious and important safety feature? There are still a few areas that are inaccessible to wheelchair users, but on the whole this does not stop you using and enjoying other more accessible areas. Some guests may need to use the lifts to reach some of the one and two bed apartments on the upper floors, there are two lifts available (one at each end of the apartment block), again if you are a chair user or have problems with steps, many of the upper walkways leading to apartments are not on one level and still have several sets of steps to contend with. Generally speaking it's a great facility situated in a lovely area, it has a lot to offer, but needs a few minor adjustments to meet elderly, infirm and disabled peoples needs... but I suspect and hope this may be on going 'or' work in progress?
We'll see next year.

The resort is always maintained to a very high standard. The level of accommodation is 5 star and the pools and bar area are great.,the staff are very attentive and friendly. The food in both restaurants and brasserie is excellent and the bar and pool bar make some great cocktails!

We stayed here for 5 nights at the beginning of September and had an awesome time. As a family with three young kids, it was important to pick the correct place to stay- i'd actually stayed here previously as a teenager 24 years ago (!!) so was quite excited to return and the stay did not disappoint.
We stayed in a 2-bedroom apartment which was really superb- loads of space, really comfortable with a lovely balcony. Air con was great, loads of TV channels which was great for the kids.
The swimming pools were outstanding and we spent many hours with our little ones in the pool in front of the restaurant- its gradual beach style slope was perfect for our two year old. Travelling from South Africa, we found the restaurant prices exorbitant (16 Euros for a pizza = 280 Rand= not happening!) but i doubt the prices are any more than down at the Marina or other 5 star establishments. We did however enjoy regular drinks around the pool that we found more palatable price wise.
We made use of the self catering facilities in the apartment which were perfectly adequate and there is a small supermarket within walking distance which stocks most basics including booze. Rather head to the Pingo Doce supermarket about a 5 mins drive away for all your food and booze.
All in all, a very good stay and highly recommended. We found Vilamoura a great base from which to explore the Algarve and we visited lots of beaches and Splash n Slide Waterpark from there.

We stayed here for 5 night's and overall the experience was good.
The hotel interior is immaculately clean, staff are helpful and efficient.
The rooms are highly equipped with many conveniences. Be warned though the wi-fi is very slow and the kitchen stock is non-existant with regards salt, pepper etc..and washing powders for both dish and clothes machines are to a bare minimum.
The food was to the most part 'average'.
Breakfast was included and 2/5 days it was excellent the other 3 mediocre at best.
We dined in the Brasserie on Portuguese night - it was not good.
Also the a la carte menu in the main restaurant was uninspiring and flat.
