We have just returned from a long weekend with my sons rugby team as it was an organised event by esf events. We did enjoy the weekend purely down the people we went with. If we had paid full price for the holiday instead of fundraising for the kids I would have wanted a partial refund. We all stayed in standard apartments half board. The food wasn't as bad as I was expecting so I would recommend paying for that as the prices of the food in the place is so expensive and not that good. I would certainly say avoid the pub on there the "sun n moon". Overpriced and naff! The accommodation was indeed standard however our room wasn't too bad compared to some friends we travelled with. As we did stay with another 10 families we did see other apartments. Some were riddled with ants, some were damp and our shower was hanging off the wall. I ended up taking the kids swimming to wash their hair in a warm proper shower. One apartment had their toilet leaking and ended up going through our other friends apartment underneath, so yes their kitchen floor was covered in toilet water! Overall I was a little disappointed with the accommodation for what the price was it was very tired! The swimming area was ok, but was far too busy and this weekend wasn't peak season. Plus it was very cold!! The funfair was a bit disappointing too, some rides you had to pay for. Stupidly one of the trampolines was £5 a go, then when the operator felt like it he put a sign on saying happy hour only £4!! I think overall the best thing about the whole place was the fact you can take your own beer into the main tent and gather with friends even though it was noisy it saved money as everything there is overpriced. I would never holiday there, once you've paid for crap accommodation then the petrol to get there plus food its probably cheaper to go abroad all inclusive on a good deal. We will go back next year for another rugby tournament with friends but would never holiday with just the family, we wouldn't enjoy it. Haven is certainly better. Just a tip, there is a tesco and morrisons round the corner so don't use the on site spa as of course it is so over priced!
Cost of food
Able to drink own alcohol
Overall, if you can get it cheap, do it. But don't expect to be impressed the kids enjoy it but at the cost of amusements every night!
