Wasn't sure about going here but so glad we did. The leaflet does not do it justice. What an amazing place, with lots to keep a very energetic 11 year old occupied. Loved all the different walkways and displays. No boring paths here, but secret tunnels and treetop paths. Loved all the different animals that you felt you could get really close to. Adventure play area was perfect for climbing and exploring. A very happy and tired daughter went home that day.

We live within an hour of Thrigby, and have visited on a few occasions now. A nice place to picnic and have your own space, not too busy and a few play areas for children.
I would say the place could do with a freshen up, it's looking a bit tired and run down in places. Some of the walkways have had new wire put down, and a new maze area for kids to play in which seemed to be providing entertainment for kids 2 years plus.
Compared to Africa Alive (where we visited the day before) I would say the entrance cost was a bit too much.
Assume they are making profit so would be good to see them update some areas in the near future. Will definitely visit again as the animals are wonderful, especially the Red Panda's who are very active.

Tigers so close, otters, porcupines, warthogs just some of the fabulous animals to see. The staff are so knowledgeable and friendly. It was a wonderful afternoon

Can work out expensive but a saving can be made by printing a voucher, nice attractions plenty of stuff for kids to do & lots of picnic benches!
Avoid the gift shop if strapped for cash, can be very expensive!

Excellent for families, a really laid back experience. I really enjoyed the reptile enclosures - worth bearing in mind that lots of the animals are rescue creatures. We're it not for Thrigby it seems a lot of the reptiles in there would have been put down.

Since we went lady year they have added a children's maze out the front which is great, you can still Se them and they can see you but sort if see through it so all the fun of a maze without the worry. I haven't explained that very well but it's good. Loads of notices everywhere about hygiene, conservation and so on so good for school trips. We enjoyed our once a year trip.
