My brother, sister and I stayed at the Eco Camp for a couple of nights and had a wonderful time. We went for a trek in the Nameri Park and also rafted down the Jai Borelli river. Both of these activities were very enjoyable and the employees leading the activities were very good. The manager of the ECO Camp was very helpful and accommodating to us. In the evening we sat around a bonfire and sang country western songs with other guests at the camp. We would recommend the Nameri ECO Camp to everyone and I hope to go back.

This is a must visit destination if you ever happen to come to Tezpur. The early morning trek is something I will remember throughout my life. Excellent ambience and very well mannered staffs made our stay an enjoyable affair. Unfortunately, we stayed here for only one night and I will surely visit this place again.

stayed one night in the last week of april 2013,good tent accomodation, with decent restrooms, food was enjoyable ,nice place to be at peace , and lose oneself.
early morning bird watching followed by a guided trek, and later rafting for a 17 km patch on the jia borelli river is an experience.
so folks a must visit place especially for birdwatchers and photography buffs.

Room Tip: choose a good tent

The manager and staff were welcoming and the food good. We loved the area, the layout of the camp and the bird life. The tents were comfortable but the adjoining bathroom could have been better. A highlight of the whole trip was rafting down the Jia Borelli which was enjoyable even without the chance to spot a rare bird.

This place had a really good feel about it. It is set alongside a very quiet lane and next to open countryside full of birds. The manager welcomed us on arrival and it was immediately apparent he took pride in his Camp. The tents were clean and spacious, bedlinen changed daily, and the bathroom satisfactory. The staff were friendly and efficient and most had good English. I would definitely stay there again. The rafting trip was a delight and the walks into the Park were great.

Room Tip: All were fine

We stayed in here for 2 nights and it was an overwhelming experience. The people are really warm especially the manager Jeeb Das is a very informative guy.

Things to Do:
>> Dont miss the nature trial early in the morning to the forest. You are sure to spot many birds..and the its a lovely experience.
>> The Rafting there is no the actual rafting, but a kind of boating especially for the photographers to shoot some of the pics of the lovely birds around this place. You will not get wet at all.
>> take some time to relax in the camp as its got a big space and lovely scenic beauty to enjoy.

Good things:
>> Though tents, the bathroom , toilets and the room is very tidy.
>> the food is generally Rice and some fresh veggies and curds in demand
>> Breakfast generally Toasts, Omlet and corn flakes with some fruits on demand.
>> Dont miss the masala chai...its relaxing.
>> The price is also nominal.

Bad things:
>> the road 10 kms before this camp is horrible...but worth it when you enter the camp

Room Tip: If are not comfortable staying the tents, you can opt for the small huts in the place. They often...

Having just returned from a three night stay at the Eco Camp Nameri, I read some of the coments with astonishment and ask what standards are these campers accustomed to as I do not recognise their enthusiasm for this camp at all.
I was sold the attributes of this Camp as a Luxury Tented Accommodation and assumed it would be similar to those tented safari accommodation throughout Africa, where we had stayed sveral times.
I was aghast to be confronted by a selection of patched up ex-army four men tents pitched on concrete plinths where the brailing finished about 10cm from the floor giving free access to any creature that cared to crawl in.
There was only a minimum of furniture and no where to hang cloths etc.Heaven only knows what we would have done if it had rained.
The same lack of facilities was with the tin doored shower and toilet area, no where to hang anything. You had to strip off before you entered and regards to hot water, we had four cold showers during our three night stay.
The tents are pitched too close together and you can readily hear private and intermate noises coming from the next tents. Horrible.
The food is basic but acceptable, although there were two extreme cases of gastric illness during our stay, where one lady had to go to hospital.
I can rough it with the best having just completed a trek to everest but this is a camp at its very basics and in no way can it be classed in any other way.
MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHERE YOU ARE GOING TO.
