The Resort is placed very close to the Dam and one can get a good view of the surrounding green forests and hillocks. Rooms are quite big enough and comfortable with clean tiolets. We stayed in a 4 bed rooms – it’s quite big and comfy – though the walls and decors can be made more appealing – since it is a Peerless Property. Food is excellent and equally good is their service. Resort has good lawns and play arena. Though the Games room needs some more attention. But overall it’s a great place for a quite relaxing weekend.

Room Tip: The Double Rooms close to the River front is a good option. People in groups should opt for the 4 be...

This was my first visit to Peerless Resort, Mukutmanipur with my family and unfortunately not a good stay we experienced. I had an initial impression that it was a Sarovar group hotel; but realized when reached there. They sent us a car for pick up (one way 1200/- from Bankura station) which got punctured in the middle of the road and the car didn't have an extra one. So? A long waiting with my family, babies till the driver came back with the repaired one after nearly 45 minutes. I understand this may happen! Anywhere in the world! But, surprisingly we didn't see any kind of 'Service recovery' process once we reached. This unprofessional gesture we found everywhere and with every service. They will charge you for everything, even if it a small thing. Everything is over-priced as compare to the service. Rooms are old with window AC which you can not adjust as per your requirement, intercom will not work, you won't get hot water as the geyser doesn't work, TV channels will come after changing the set top box for 3-4 times (all boxes are out of credit); but there are something really GOOD I would like to mention:
Quality of food amazing; though the price is as per 5-star standard; Location is really nice just beside the dam with a nice view (please ask for rooms with view); House Keeping is excellent- they will come every morning to clean your room & bathroom nicely!

Room Tip: Rooms facing lake/ cottages

The resort is the best property in the area. Very calm and quiet place with a relaxing atmosphere all around. Must mention that the manager and staff are very cordial and helpful. The restaurant serves excellent food. If you want to enjoy the rains, visit during July- September. Else the winters are a safe bet, only problem being the fact that the resort may be very crowded during this time. I travelled with my wife and two and a half year old daughter and was quite impressed with the quality of the property and service of the staff. Highly recommended for a weekend gataway.

This is a resort by the river side in a calm location. The lake facing rooms have the best views. If you have kids there is a large playground with swings, see saws etc besides a large lawn. Electricity supply is very erratic but the place has its own genset which provides power seamlessly. The restaurant serves delicious food but there were no tandoor items during our three day stay. The room condition is not that great due to lack of maintenance and the staff are also pretty slow in typical village fashon. Overall it is the best place to stay in Mukutmanipur. Avoid travelling between March to September due to the heat.

Room Tip: Ask for a lake facing room. The other rooms are not 1/2 as good. Speak to the resort manager Pirtha...

Peerless Resort at mukutmonipur is a good weekend getaway. Serene and untouched still by the mad tourist influx. Great views of the dam and river from your rooms. And the mornings and evenings are made! A lot of greenery lad well kept lawns and gardens all around.
