“Bhivpuri Trek !!!”
Reviewed 7 August 2014

The Ideal Perfect Oneday/ weekday Getaway if you are staying anywhere in Mumbai or Thane. My Advice take the train. A Drive Down all the way to Karjat does pass through a few tantalizing back breaker patches but the Roads are scenic and if you are a road trip guy ... go ahead. FYI Bhivpuri is 20 mins walking from Bhivpuri Road the second last station before Karjat.

A Thing You must be aware is this Bhivpuri Falls does draw in a large crowd and you are looking at almost a good 300-400 people puddled around the falls. However, the climb up is far far better and rewarding. Yes the waterfall is worth a visit and if u do want a beer I did see the locals selling it there but the Trek and the fact that you can find your own private pool with a micro water fall is far far more rewarding.

Make sure you spot the goat path as you start the climb cause be sure the grass is gonna be slippery and the slope is steep. Make sure you watch for them slippery stones and if you are lucky you may see the rains cascade over the Sayadiris slowly heading in your direction. Also, be ready for the rains to pelt you hard(I gotta look up the defination of luck). Once you are on the top at par with the mouth of the fall depending on your time feel free to stray further uphill or enjoy the small micro falls.

Do's : A lot of Pics
Climb and Enjoy

Donts: Litter (really a whole patch is just smashed beer and booze bottles)

“Climb the hills ... Best time - Rainy season”
Reviewed 26 May 2014 via mobile

The waterfall is good but it's more adventurous to climb the hills & see it from above. Sometimes it becomes very crowded at the fall but its always beautiful if looked from the hills above. Apart from that the view of the beautiful landscape cannot be explained in words. Be careful while climbing & more careful while descending. It's better wear sports shoes.

“Vangni Waterfalls 22 kms before Karjat”
Reviewed 9 August 2013

We were on our way to Bhivpuri Waterfalls when we happened to find out about this Vangni forest falls, this is off the ambernath - karjat road , in a village called vangni . This is a beautiful place to be , no crowds , and a huge waterfall to enjoy all by yourself.

The drive to vangni is slightly difficult since the road is very small and you need to be really careful not to fall into the side ditch.

You can actually trek into the falls from the bottom and thats teh fun , or can go up to the top for a top view directly.

A unique find and must try if you want to enjoy with your family.

Will upload photos later.
