We (Me and my husband) stayed for 3 nights over the 10 Jan weekend. It was a great experience. The staff is very courteous and Mr. Shinoj made sure we thoroughly enjoy our stay. The Cedar suite exceeded our expectations. I was shocked initially to see that there was no TV in the room but by the end of the stay, realized that was the best part. All we did was relax away from our hectic lives. Breakfast was also good. The best part was its location, a midst the green jungle, away from the hustle and bustle.
Only one advice - It would be really great if you can provide toiletries with the suites. Generally on a weekend trip, travelers do not carry these
Rest everything about this lodge was awesome. We would definitely be back
- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
- The Lodge: Nothing could best explain the philosophy at Pugmarks than Byron's lines. Neatly tucked away in a five acre coffee plantation are charming wooden cottage tents and wooden suites; an inviting place to be miles away from anywhere of consequence. Hemmed by the elephant corridor on one side and the thick foliage of the forest on the other, Pugmarks Jungle Lodge is Wayanad’s very own nature retreat, where being amidst nature is just a way of living. Trying to recreate the essence of being close to nature, the five acres of landscaped coffee plantation is adorned with quaint wooden and tented cottages. The lodges have been built utilizing ethnic material and the skill of local craftsmen. Classic hand carved wooden furniture, and custom made beddings, which took our seven craftsmen more than twenty days and modern bath facilities, sum up the accommodation facilities at Pugmarks Jungle Lodge. ... more less
