Pitambara Peeth
Reviewed 29 September 2017 via mobile

I visited this place to see Devi peeth as I heard of it. It is in that way a small temple with multiple worship area. Lot of devotees are there which also make it a spiritual place.

Famous shrine of Peetambara Devi and Dhoomavati Devi. 30 km from Jhansi.
Reached there before 7 am on Saturday, which is an auspicious day for darshan. Devotees prefer wearing yellow clothes for darshan. Laddo and yellow flowers are offered. Took about 45 minutes in queue. There are three types of queues - one passes right in front of the deity and the second one a few feet apart. Third type of darshan is from a distance and no queue is there for this.

Darshan of Dhommavati Devi is not advisable for Married Ladies. Darshan is available only during arti time at 8 am and 8 pm. However, on Saturdays darshan can be had from 7.15 am to 9 am and from 5pm to 8 pm. The offerings are white flowers and namkeen.

It's a very beautiful and big temple in Datia, very much crowded on Saturday. Very well maintained and clean temple, even washrooms are quite good. Mobile/camera are strictly prohibited in the temple premises.
