We had a couple of hours to spare. As the weather was showery we decided to do the forest drive. The staff at the visitor centre were helpful and told us all about the different places to stop en route. The seven mile drive was in a figure of 8 through stunning forest mountains. Several car parks along the route have different reasons to stop including sculptures, views or play areas. We only saw three other cars. It really felt like you were in the wilderness when really we were only a few miles from the nearest town.
