I was scared to go back to Spice Route as so many times the service lags once a place becomes famous... However I am pleased to say this was not the case!
The service was fantastic!! We started with Coffee and a Chocolate tasting, followed by the beer tasting and ending off with Grappa tasting & Pizza's! What a day!! It's great to be able to do this walking distance from each other. We couldn't pick a favorite but will surely go back!

We didn't visit everything available but can highly recommend the dark chocolate tasting - absolutely fabulous - and the coffee and cakes at the coffee shop. Coffee was probably one of the best we have ever tasted and the cheesecake was simply awesome.

We also visited the glassblowers and while we found it quite expensive, the goods were exquisite and we found some reasonably priced items.

Our teenage children really enjoyed it as well and it made a break from the wine tasting that they couldn't partake in.

Well worth visiting this unique collection of restaurants, brewery and chocolate factory. We had lunch at Barley and Beer which has a limited menu but we all found something to our liking. There are platters of breads, cold meats, pickles etc, a meat pie, stew and soup of the day. Enjoy your meal with a local beer - the setting reminded some of our party of a German beer garden in Namibia. Service was quick and friendly and the prices reasonable. After lunch we strolled further along to have coffee, cake and ice cream at the coffee shop. Cakes were divine!!!

Unfortunately it was raining on the day we visited which meant we didn't get to see everything (or appreciate the stunning views) but we will certainly visit again during the summer when we can explore further.

A great destination for a day-trip - you can do wine-tasting, craft-beer tasting, dark chocolate-tasting (highly recommended), have a full-on lunch or just a pizza, watch glass-blowers at work, and pick up some biltong for the drive home.
We visited with teenage daughters who really enjoyed the experience.
Great view, as well... one could simply "park off" and chat at the outdoor restaurant for hours.
Bathrooms were clean and upmarket too, always a good sign.
Not very wheelchair friendly -- it is built on a slope and there are a lot of steps .
Plenty of parking for a winter weekday, but I'd imagine it gets crowded in summer.

A very good place to go for the whole family... With the choice of great restaurants, wine, coffee, chocolate, biltong, pizza, CBC craft beer brewery and a distillery, you are lank spoiled for choice. There’s something for everyone, even if that means having a nap on the grass embankment after a great meal. The beer tour was great,so start with that part of the experience, because I enjoyed it the most!
