We recently stayed at the Saxon Villa from the 6th to the 8th February 2014 on the 3 nights for 2 deal. Having extremely busy jobs we were hoping for a nice comfortable relaxing weekend and the Saxon Villa was just what we needed. We stayed in room 3 which was fantastic, bright, airy and spacious with the comfiest bed Iv'e slept in for ages. We also had fantastic views of the rolling hills and countryside and a view of the sea. Our hosts Des & Heather couldn't do enough for us and are really friendly giving us advice on places to go, were to eat etc. The breakfast was fab, with delicious cereals, fresh fruit, Greek Yoghurt, homemade jams followed by a wonderful English breakfast. All in all I would recommend the Saxon Villa to anyone who wants a wonderful relaxing, well looked after break.

Room Tip: All the rooms are lovely, 1 has a bath if you prefer a soak.

We stayed at Saxon Villa at the beginning of December 2013 for Victorian Weekend in Robin Hoods Bay. Our room was just perfect - lovely and clean - nice view - everything in it you could wish for. Our friends stayed in the room below and that was just as nice. Saxon Villa is run by a lovely couple who made us very welcome - even getting to know our names. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice - setting us up for the day. Robin Hoods Bay is our favourite place so we most definitely would like to stay at Saxon Villa again.

Room Tip: Both rooms we viewed are lovely. The one we stayed in at the very top of the house was large with both a bath and separate shower.

It may not be the closest than other B & B's but it is defo the best. Absolutely beautiful room with nice extras. Large TV/DVD with a choice of films. Large comfy bed in a very large bright airy room. I must say this is the cleanest hotel i've ever stayed in! Breakfast was great, 5 star also. Run by a very a genuine couple, who cant do enough. Nothing is any trouble. Off road parking but limited. Our only disapointment was we only stayed for 1 night, did not want to leave as we felt so comforable.

Room Tip: Get there early if you want a parking space. The walk to the top of the bay isn't as far as you think and you can get a taxi if you wish.

We stayed at the Saxon Villa for two nights whilst visiting the Victorian weekend in nearby Robin Hood's Bay. The Saxon Villa is an imposing yet charming late Victorian detached house in the village of Fylingthorpe. There is off road car parking or you can park on the road outside as we did. The local pub the Fylingdales Inn which serves very good food is about 100 yards away and Robin Hood's Bay is a short walk away. The Saxon Villa is tastefully decorated and the bedrooms and public areas are clean and well maintained. We were in room 3, a spacious first floor room overlooking the garden with views over fields down to Robin Hood's Bay and the sea. We slept very well. The bed was comfortable and the area is very quiet. Breakfast consisted of cereal, fruit, toast and English breakfast cooked to order which was very good indeed.
The owners Des and Heather are friendly, welcoming and helpful. The complimentary glass of port as a nightcap when we returned at the end of the evening was a really nice touch and its not surprising they have so many repeat visitors. I really can't think of anything bad to say about the Saxon Villa and we would definitely stay there again.

Our pre-christmas tradition of spending the weekend at this wonderful b&b began last year and long may it continue. Great hosts and fabulous accomodation make this weekend special. The superb breakfast sets us up for a day of shopping in Whitby , a visit to the Victorian activities in Robin Hoods Bay later in the day including mulled wine and carol singers in the Bay is a real festive treat.
Looking forward to next years visit already!!

Room Tip: Which ever you choose will be fabulous
