We had a room overlooking the lake (not all are) above the restaurant on the terrace. Our room was on the 3rd floor - no elevator but we didn't mind it. If there's one criticism about our room is the smell of the essential oil - vanilla - bit too strong. There's a standing fan in the room in case you need it but we didn't have to use it as the cool night breeze was enough. Food is superb at the restaurant - reservations is required if you're not a hotel guest as it's very popular with day trippers. Creative cuisine using fresh local ingredients. If you're a fish lover this is the place to dine. The island is very small so 1-2 nights is enough. You can visit other islands during the day or go to the mainland (Stesa) for some shopping as there are nice local boutiques, restaurants and farmers market. We will recommend this auberge to friends without hesitation.
