“Interesting break from tapas - their hummus is a delishious!”
Reviewed 9 October 2013

Scrolling Tripadvisor reviews we decided to choose this place instead of usual tapas bars and were really pleased with our choice. Atmosphere in the bar is lovely with stylish decor and great service. The food was really nice - we tried chicken cous-cous with veggies, lamb stew (with a Moroccan name I forgot) and pastela. Cous-cous was a bit dry and for my surprise contained quite a few bones, be careful! But I would definitely re-visit to get more of their bread with hummus which was a delicious starter. They don't have kid's menu, but "If he wants fries - no problem - we make fries!" And they did and he was happy.

“Good spot, great food, a bit different”
Reviewed 26 September 2013

Enjoyed the arab food, had a targin of lamb, was the best meal I had in Arcos. Liked the blues music playing softly in the background. When I go back to Arcos I will look forward to eating here again.

“Gorgeous and worth stopping for outside the old city gates”
Reviewed 13 September 2013

This is a lovely little place that suffers from not being right inside the old city...but if you are craving some good Moroccan food make sure you visit. Cute, welcoming and has good value authentic dishes. We had the hummus, babaganoush, couscous, lamb shishs...fantastic. We were there during the day, so this was more a tapas stop than a dinner. It was particularly nice to be given some homemade harrisa without asking- I'd been missing a bit of hot spice. They have a group area upstairs on sofas, so it would be good for a dinner party/evening hang out.

“Fantastic decor and food”
Reviewed 4 September 2013 via mobile

We thoroughly enjoyed our meals tonight at Babel.
We started with delicious Moroccan hummus and the house salad which consisted of a variety of Moroccan salads served upon lettuce leaves.
The couscous chicken was lovely and the beef kofta/skewer was delicious and flavoursome.
After dinner we were given a shot of liquor from the owner Oscar who was also very friendly and gave some tips for our travels.
Highly recommend this restaurant, it's a nice change while travelling

“Great change of pace”
Reviewed 25 June 2013

After 10 days or so of Andalucian fare--lots of fish, cheese, meat, bread--this Moroccan eatery was a very welcome change of pace. Like other reviewers, we find the typical Spanish diet a bit short on vegetables, and some variety outside of pickled peppers was in order. Oscar is a very nice man, the place is pleasantly quiet (again, a nice change of pace) and the food was delicious. Hummus, ensalada de berenjenas, tajine, and couscous were all well-prepared and tasty (the tajine could have used a few more olives, or maybe that's just my husband's preference). He treated us to a couple of different local herbal liqueurs (not the first Spanish restaurant owner to do that), and was very genial. If we had stayed longer in Arcos we would have returned for sure.
