Spent several nights in this classic, small Parador. Gorgeous building, stylishly decorated with stunning views. Large well furnished rooms. Great breakfast buffet. Courteous and efficient staff throughout. Driving up to it is challenging and parking can be tricky. The Parador had a daily parking pass for 6 Euro for the small lot in front.

The view was amazing and the hotel was a traditional nice Parador. The food was good and the trip up to the Parador very nice as the small city is quaint and pretty. It was a bit tricky to drive up to park close to the hotel as the streets are very narrow, but that was an experience in itself.

The GPS doesn’t really work in arcos de la frontera. There are two options: 1. either park in the main parking lot in the town center and take a taxi up to the hotel or 2. Drive up from the main parking lot following the street signs and park in the square in front of the hotel ( caveat the streets are really narrow and a SUV might have a hard time fitting) and you can park in the square by paying 6 euros at the hotel. The hotel is a coverted monastery. The rooms are spacious and the views are spectacular.

An old monastery perched on the cliff overlooking the Guadajate river. Fabulous location and views. We used this as base to explore Arcos (beautiful village), Jerez, Cadiz and Vejer. In Arcos, we went twice to the Taberna Jovenes Flamencos, a wonderful tapas bar. We didn't find Cadiz that interesting. Jerez has one of the best equestrian schools for dressage in the world, and we went to see a great show there. Vejer has a lovely Moorish restaurant, El Jardin de Califa. Btw, don't take your car up to the Parador. The streets are unbelievably narrow. There's parking at Plaza Espana down below. Leave your car there, and take a Taxi. The Parador offers discounts for that Parking lot. Also, if you have an early morning flight, book a taxi in advance the night before. We had a scare, trying to get a taxi at 7am. They didn't tell us.

Dear customers,

We appreciate your opinion about your experience in these Gaditan lands and the location of the Parador de Arcos.
What a pity they did not use the restaurant because they would have enjoyed a wide gastronomic offer with typical dishes of the region and local.

Thank you for trusting Paradores !!

It was very well in the Parador, from our arrival in reception until our departure. The staff was thoughtful and professional. The place is really delucious and also the wheather was very nice. A holiday to remember with great pleasure
