A planned one night stay became two, would that it could have been longer. Owner Nick aims to offer the same ambience as traveller dens in the Far East - but with better plumbing and sensational views. Very comfortable and welcoming. We'll be back!

My husband and I stayed here for a couple of nights on our two-week tour of Spain and are so happy that we chose this Casa. Nick was a fantastic host, giving us helpful directions and answering any of our questions. I wish we had spent more time in the Casa because it was so relaxing, and the views were spectacular. The rooms are pretty basic, without A/C but they are naturally cool, so this wasn't an issue. The only sounds we heard were the sounds of the roosters and donkeys from the farm in the valley below. They didn't bother us, though. We particularly enjoyed Nick's cat, Sam. He was our companion whenever we were in the shared space. I would just say that if you drive, you have to park your car down a hill and bring luggage up to the Casa. We didn't have any trouble with this, but it might be difficult for someone with mobility issues. That being said, I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a budget-friendly, unique accommodation in a white hill town of Andalucia.

Outstanding views from almost everywhere in this very good value hostel. My room in the apartment was light and airy. The manager, Nick, is very helpful and contributes to the friendly, relaxed atmosphere. A short walk takes you into the old town of Arcos where you can see the sights and get some great tapas - I'm sure Nick can advise where's best.

We had a lovely stay in Casa Blues.. On arrival from Jerez we were greeted by splendid views of the valley which literally took our breath away.. Nick along with Sam the Cat(!!) was there to greet us with a welcome drink and show us around.. We were made to feel comfortable right from the start and all our numerous questions were answered with great patience and concern. We stayed there for 4 nights and were the only ones except on the last day so we had the place to ourselves most of the time.. The peace and quiet of the place was extremely soothing and when we went on to the next leg of our trip we really missed it.In the evenings when we entered the house, Nick would have soft music playing ,and candles lit...... it felt like home...
Though Arcos is a wonderful place and we found everyone to be more than nice, it was definitely a good feeling to be able to communicate in English with Nick without having to rack our brains for a Spanish Word(my husband and I just about manage to make ourselves understood in Spainsh!)..
We would never think of staying elsewhere if we were to go back to Arcos, it was such a wonderful part of our holiday..

We stayed one night, passing through. Casa Blues has a delightful location perched on the side of a cliff. Bedrooms, sitting room and roof terrace all have wonderful views, and there is a great feeling of light.

Nick and Camilla were very pleasant hosts. Our visit was a delight.

There were only 4 rooms and an apartment in this guesthouse. Every room walked onto the balcony with a breathtaking view of the white-washed-houses on this cliff-hanging village, the lowland and far far beyond. Our double bedroom was spacious and super clean with a full bathroom. It felt like a private villa more than a guesthous. Camelia and Nick, the owners, made us feel at home at the first instance. Nick picked us up in their Volvo from the bus station. He and Camelia met in England, traveled here 2 years ago and fell in love with this little village, so they bought this beautiful property and turned it into a nice little guest house. Unfortunately, we only stayed for 1 night, Camelia made us breakfast which was served on the roof top with a 360 degrees view.

But a warning for those who don't like hiking because Arcos is on a cliff, the minute you get out of the house you are either going up or going down, good exercise for me though!

Arcos is within easy reach to Jerez de la frontera and Cadiz, we could have stayed here as our base for those two destinations.

I am a budget independent traveler, did a lot of research and planning to make sure every stop is money well spent. Casa Blues definitely worth more than 25 euros per person per night (excl. breakfast) .

We stayed one night at this little find! It was located right on the cliff of the backside of Arcos. Arcos has a famous lookout site in town on the opposite side of this place, and I think the views from this place undoubtedly beat the famous lookout. They have an amazing location and great terraces to enjoy it. They even offered to sell us regional wine to enjoy one night. Since it is located on the opposite cliff, please take note that it is about a 7-10 minute walk straight uphill in to town. It is very steep and so if you have walking problems, please consider that this might not be the place for you. The place did not have parking of it's own but was located to many parking spaces just down the road. You cannot drive in to the town center as cars are not allowed.

The place itself was very clean. The room was nice, with AC, TV and CD player. The bathroom was across the hall. There was no other guests sharing the upstairs space with us, but if the 2 other rooms were occupied, I could imagine the bathroom situation would be a bit cramped. There was a common room for the 3 upstairs rooms which had access to a fridge, table and couch. Downstairs there appeared to be rooms as well but I didnt see them. A simple breakfast was offered for an additional price and it was worth it as there are no bakeries around. Drinks were available for purchase. They also had tons of travel books and were helpful in recommending a nearby beach that was nice.

We'd recommend a GPS for navigating you there as the roads are not well marked and we would have had trouble finding it without them!!!
