We'd decided to stay in Frascati as it was close to CIA airport, after our visit to Amalfi and Sorrento . This restaurant nailed it . The owner was great , helped us through the menu and the food was fantastic and great value . Turned out to be by far the best meal we had all trip . Well done and would definitely go back . This is a honest restaurant doing great food . Made the evening .

We went here based on trip advisor reviews, and weren't disappointed. A lovely local restaurant in frascati. We didn't speak Italian, and they didn't speak much English, so we went with the flow and let the food do the talking. I have to say that this was the best value meal we had on our 4 day trip. We shared a lobster (previously alive in the tank !) and a bottle of frascati, along with an awesome mixed seafood starter, finished off with a couple of limoncello's. they even opened a big early to accommodate us. Definitely worth a visit if you like seafood (but take your google translator !)

Il Timone has been the highlight of our trip to Rome and we kept on going back there. We tried three types of fish, shrimps.....The food is supremely good. Its clear that its made in a slow and dedicated fashion. The place is owned by the waiter who is also the cook. He showers you with home made amarattas, local white wine (specialty of Frascati) and also with home-made liquors. In the first night, the bill was 35 euros for (probably) the best meal we've had outside for two people. I remember leaving a 50 and even feeling it was worth much more. Would highly recommend it.
