We always stay at Hotel Loosen when we visit the beautiful Mosel Valley. Herr Loosen may not make a very warm impression, but he goes out of his way to meet the needs of his guests. The hotel consists of a number of buildings and has a variety of accommodation options. The owner took the initiative to suggest that he change our booking to a more convenient (and cheaper) option to suit our particular party. We were allowed to wait to see the supper menu before deciding on demi-pension as one of our number did not eat pork. The rooms are well appointed and spotless, although I must agree with a previous reviewer that the pillows are much too soft. One's head goes right through the feathers to the mattress, but this is the only complaint. There was a boisterous party in the beer-garden on the night we stayed, but the noise stopped promptly at 22:00. The hotel is in an attractive little old town, convenient for exploring the attractions of the area.

there are a few hotels all belonging to the same owner, the staff spoke good English, they had an english menu in the restraunt, on ariving it is unclear where the reception for the hotel is. the pillows in the room where far too flat, the breakfast was good and there was a wide selection, there is free on road and private parking at the hotel(s) the hotel is good value for money.

Stayed here with 6 friends on a motorcycling trip through Europe. The village and the Moselle valley are both picture postcard beautiful and arriving tired and hungry we were met with hospitality and efficiency. Rooms were spotlessly clean and very comfortable and the food served in the spacious beer garden was excellent. Although there was ample free parking we were invited to leave our bikes in the garage/storeroom of the hotel which was an unexpected bonus. All the staff were friendly and helpful as were the local publicans and shopkeepers.
We only stayed one night as we were touring however all agreed that this would make a great place to come back to for longer.

Our family stayed in an apartment at the top that had 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a kitchen and a living room. At only 300 Euros for 4 nights it was a great deal. The place was very clean and well kept. There is a small beer garden just below that closes by 10:30 so no problems with noise. Breakfast can be provided at the main hotel across the street (7 euros adult, children 3.50 Euros) but we ate in the apartment.

I booked this over the internet with the owner and had no problems, would stay here again if in the area. It was central to the Mosel valley and we had no problem visiting all the sights between Trier to Koblenz.

5 of us arived on bikes fron England to fine our reservation had not been recorded. We were offered alternative rooms which were fine, the owner chainsmoked in the breasfast room all the time, not pleasant, when we came to settle up he seemed to make the bill up from the top of his head, it worked out at £10 pp per night with breakfast.. excelent value despite the fag smoke ! This hotel is popular with German bikers at the weekend, it has a good beergarden/bar, ample parking for cars and bikes. I would recomend this place. call before you leave , to check the booking 'though!!
