The breakfast and location were the only redeeming features of this hotel. We stayed in room 214, apparently one of their better rooms, however it was very bland and nothing special. The niggles, you would expect to find a decent mirror with plug point near it in the room, wrong, the only one was inside the wardrobe door and not near a plug point so it was difficult for my wife to get ready. The wi-fi signal is none existent in the room, so you have to go down to the lobby. There is no where to get a coffee once the bar closes, apparently Belgium's do not like any facilities in their rooms so everyone else has to conform so I was told by the receptionist. Lastly there is no air conditioning in the room so you have to leave the window open and get all the outside noise late into the night. When I brought these points up to the staff their response was very dismissive, I do not think they like negative feedback. This is an expensive hotel that at best is 3*.

My husband and I had a "minimoon" at Aazaert for 2 nights after our wedding. the hotel is greatly located, close to the promenade and beach and plenty of restaurants and shops. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. the spa was very modern and clean. And the breakfast buffet was so good, it tops most of the best NYC brunch spots! Great value for a wonderful stay

This hotel is adequate and close to the beach. The parking is secure and a couple of hundred metres from the hotel. Restaurant was closed when we got there on a Sunday so we were directed to a rather bland and overpriced bistro by the beach. Pleasant staff and good breakfast.

Arrived here by train and found the hotel only 5 minutes walk away. The seafront is another 5 minutes walk and there are loads of restaurants and shops nearby. The hotel itself is pleasant enough, comfortable but characterless. Rooms were spotlessly clean, but even in the delux rooms there were no tea nor coffee making facilities. Staff exceptionally helpful. The restaurant food for the conference was superb, I assume it would be the same a la carte? Beware if you are a light sleeper the hotel is directly opposite the Church which chimed very loudly every half hour on Sunday night but Monday it didn't, so may be worth checking before you book. Rooms are not air-conditioned.

Room Tip: Rooms away from the road and the church might be quieter?

This hotel was erroneously booked through bookings.com. I never received any sort of confirmation from this hotel nor bookings, however, I was assessed a fee of 522 Euro for a no show. I had booked another hotel in Blankenberge for the same time frame and had a lovely time. I've used bookings plenty of times in the past and they are trying to make good on the error but this hotel's poor customer service is unwilling to work with anyone...beware! Spend your money at a hotel where it will be appreciated, not at the hotel Aazaert!

When we eventually found the hotel (using sat-nav), there was no parking available in the adjacent secure parking (I believe they only have 4 spaces, but not certain), so we were recommended to park at the railway station and walk back (approx 10 mins). However on getting to the station car park, it too was full so we had to park further out of the town and walk about 20minutes to the hotel.
Our "Comfort" room was very small although perfectly nice. It overlooked the church and street.
About 7pm we moved our car from out-of-town to the station car park for the overnight stay, only to be told we had to pay €8.50 to park until midnight then a further €8.50 from midnight until we left the next day, so €17 in total for an unsecured piece of open waste ground parking.
The rooms do not appear to be air-conditioned, this was a problem over the weekend of 6-7 July as it was very hot, consequently we had to sleep with balcony doors open which meant we were constantly woken through the night by noisy passers by.
Breakfast was excellent.
So, all in all, a good hotel let down by lack of air conditioning and lack of parking.
My advice would be to find a B&B out of town, say in De Panne and use the excellent coastal tram to get into Blankenberge.

My wife and I planned a trip to Belgium with our first night stay at the Aazaert hotel. The hotel is situated among a maze of one way streets. Parking in this area is difficult.
We were met by an extremely efficient, helpful and likeable receptionist, who explained everything about the hotel and the parking options. We opted for a space in their private parking lot (additional charge) but this was very safe and convenient.
We had a junior suite overlooking the church and the square. The room was excellent and the bathroom luxurious with separate shower. The TV's are now flat screen and show English channels.
Used the smallish inside swimming pool and wellness area Very clean and modern. It is somewhat against our British nature to be nude in the sauna and steam, but quite simply this is the Belgian culture and no one bats an eyelid!
Plenty of restaurants around the area. Breakfast was top class - good hot food choices, pastries, fruits and meats as well as sparkling wine. Again the staff were on the ball, very pleasant and helpful and no waiting for teas and coffees.
A very well run professional hotel which could teach higher rated hotels lessons in customer service and professionalism.

Room Tip: We had a spacious Junior suite, overlooking the church and town square.
