The hotel is located a 10 min drive from Zoute and city center but states on websites as closer. The staff is unfriendly and breakfast is served at your front door of room at 7 euros for two croissants and two rolls. Check out is at eleven and if late you pay another twenty euros for two hours after full rate. The cost per room was 160 euros per night and at same price you can stay at much better hotels in Knokke. Mornings u are woken up at five by the noisy side streets and that is a real downfall of hotel. Furthermore, they only clean your room till ten in the morning, after not possible so forget sleeping in late on your weekend. Not recommended worst hotel in Knokke !!!!!

We were her 7 years ago, and in the mean time De Laurier has been refurbished. This time we staid in the Bonapart suite on the 4th floor. Very comfortable and cosy with everything you need. A good bed with soft linen, a fully equiped kitchen, flatscreen, wifi, etc... You can order breakfast, but we brought ours with us. Coffeepads for the senseo where available. You can rent a parking box at about 200 meter from the Laurier at 15 €/day.
The owners are very friendly and helpfull. They also have a restaurant at the sea front (De Waterlijn). We didn't go, but the comments are very good.
Knokke-Heist is a calm town, at 10 minutes drive from the busy Knokke.
We can highly recommend De Laurier, and will probably come back.

Room Tip: Bonapart suite is a good choice.

Very good hotel. It's small, which creates a lovable, close atmosphere. We stayed in the Marie-Antoinette suite, very romantic and comfortable. We were delighted to see we had a DVD player and a kitchinette. The bed was excellent!
The breakfast was a high quality one. The possibility to ask for a breakfast basket/breakfast in bed was very nice, good to enhance the hotel's romantic characteristics.
We also had ordered a bottle of champagne. Not expensive at all and very good quality!
Very friendly staff on top of that.
I'd definitly return.

We stayed a saterday night at the Laurier. A very helpful and friendly receptionist. Very nice and clean room. We had the corner room on the first floor with a view to the sea.
