What a find for us. Living in Leicester the curry capital of the UK we are always disappointed when we have an Indian meal in Europe because it always seems second rate to what we experience in Leicester. We decided to try this restaurant at the end of our holiday and what a find it turned out to be.The owner is Nepalese as are all his staff, including the chefs but have they mastered the art of north Indian & Nepalese food. The owner is only 23 yrs old and has studied at Greenwich University UK. He has a wicked sense of humour and likes to communicate with his clients. We made two visits and on the second we sampled dishes from the Nepalese menu ( not eaten before) which were absolutely superb. The portions of food are quite large so you have to be careful not to order too much food initially.Although the service is a bit on the slow side remember all the dishes are cooked fresh to order and this is not a fast food restaurant where volume turnover is the key. A most enjoyable dining experience for us and a restaurant which we will definitely return to when we revisit Monte Gordo next September.
