My wife and I stayed at the Alcazar first two weeks in October. We opted for the 'Junior Suite' which really was a two bed apartment, with two bedrooms and a bathroom the main room having twin beds and the second room was a double room. The rooms were cleaned every day and towels and bedlinen changed every third day.
The breakfast was a buffet, with a good selection bread rolls, different types of bread, continental cooked meats and cheeses, fresh fruit and cereals, the hot selection was limited, either bacon & beans or scrambled egg & sausages on alternate days, plenty of tea/coffee or fruit juices. We did not try the evening meals as we were on B&B basis prefering to eat out in the evening trying many of the various resturants in the town.
The hotel has plenty of facilities, largish pool and seperate pool for toddlers, tennis courts, large sandy play area for children with plenty of equipment, inside there is a games room, pool table and electronic games and internet facility if required. In the main a very good three/four star hotel with pleasant helpful staff.
The hotel was quiet ,I estimated only about a third full and the town itself was also quiet, to be expected at this time of year I suppose. The town itself was clean with plenty of snack bars, resturants and small shops, some establishments closed for their holidays prior to the Christmas/ New Year festivities when the town becomes very lively.
The main feature of resort is the magnificent beach, miles of nice clean sand, you can walk for miles and no oil patches and virtually no litter.
