I have always said that how you approach a business is reflected by how the business approaches you.
After less than a minute we were at ease with the patron, who turned out to be a mine of excellent information, and more importantly true to his passion for food.
We just wanted a pizza, nothing too much, and a decent bottle of wine. What we had was a taste explosion that had as much to do with the excellent chef and staff,as it had to do with the beautiful view, soft music and overall ambience.
The pizza was so good we decided there and then to return for a proper meal the following night.
Couldn't wait and wasn't disappointed, even though we couldn't eat outside as we were too late and there was no room.
The garlic dough bread was to die for,and the onion soup was just bordering on perfect. The beef served as the main course actually made my wife smile on the first mouthful, something of a rarity, and we were more than pleased with the wine recommended by Bello.
At the end of a long season for restaurants and hoteliers it is normal for standards and menus to drop, but here was the one shinning example of how a passion for quality, and value for money can still exist after hours and hours of aiming to please.
Well done and thanks to all here for what remained the best restaurant we tried out of 10 so called quality establishments.
I will and look forward to travelling another 4.5 hours to eat here again!
