I arrived on march 11th,a little early and had to wait 20 minutes for a room, which I didn't mind. While I was waiting in the reception staff were joined by who I think was the chef and began having sexual jokes with other at the top of their voices. Not very nice in front of a customer. They guessed me being Irish I wouldn't understand, but I speak Spanish..I stayed in room 204 which faces the entrance gate.It was great.I'd stayed in this complex twice before and the apartments were a lot less quality inside.
So obviously there are different grades of apartment. The upstairs was better arranged and the bedroom had a little more space. In the kitchen area I had cupboards with doors as opposed to open shelves previously.I could find no fault with the apartment or the cleaners. No bugs or crawlies at all during my stay. The mini market is very expensive.. Faro 2 shopping centre is nearby for eating out .Try El Nublo restaurant, you'll enjoy it..I also like Chinese food but the Chinese restaurant in Faro 2 was very bland.Every Sunday in front of the Faro 2 there is a market,it is well worth a visit.Anything from cars to dvd's can be found there.Had a great stay in the Green Golf and hope to visit it again..

Ive stayed at Green Golf many times over the last 12yrs and love it.If you are self catering take a taxi to Hypo Dino about 4 euros in a taxi its a massive hypo market where all the fruit, veg drink is much cheaper and better quality than at green golf or at faro two lots of other shops there well worth a visit. If you want a special meal out go to the Cabana tavern its about 8 euros in a taxi but well worth it the food is excellant on a thursday night two spanish gentlemen serenade you with their guitars its near the banana plantation if the taxi driver isnt sure.Im going back in November and cant wait another good night out is Garbos book with your rep Dont forget to go to Porto Morgan enjoy

Just got back from a very enjoyable week at the Cordial Green Golf hotel. There are 250 two storey bungalows built around two superb swimming pools and bordering Maspolamas Golf course.
Of these I would say 200 have a very good location either looking over the swimming pools, the golf course or garden area. The other 50 look over the road and are north facing so it is worth requesting a bungalow with a view of the pools or the golf course.

The bungalows are clean and furnished to a good standard (though the art on the wall was naff!). The cleaners came in most days of our 7 day stay and did a good job. When we were around during the day we were very aware of their loud and constant banter in Spanish around the complex. You need to take beach/pool towels. You pay extra for the use of the safe and the TV. The service on the desk when we arrived was good and the same member of staff was helpful at other times. His colleague was not so helpful or friendly which was a shame.

We went self catering, we ate two evening meals at the hotel restaurant, 12.50 euros, for an all you can eat buffet, we enjoyed the food and felt that it was good value. There are many restaurants in the area. Faro 2 is a shopping and restaurant complex just a ten minute walk away. It has a large supermarket which is a bit cheaper than the supermarket on the site of the hotel but obviously not as convenient. Breakfasts at the hotel were 7.50 euros, the food looked good but we didn’t try it. We would go back the Green Golf in the future and opt for the half board option if we could get a good deal.

The hotel is a free 10 minute bus ride to the beach, the famous sand dunes are there and the lighthouse which is surrounded by shops and restaurants. Buses are comfy and more like coaches. Taxi’s are very cheap and plentiful.
Port Mogan is a lovely day out, we went by bus, enjoyed the narrow ‘venetian-style’ streets, beach and restaurants. From Port Mogan we took a boat to Porto Rico and then a bus on to Maspolamas. You can see a lot in the immediate area by bus, car hire locally is expensive, if you want to see a lot of the island it’s more economical booking a car on the internet from the UK and collecting it from the airport.
On check out day you have to be out of your room at 12 noon. You have the option if you have a late flight of keeping the room for another 25 euros or putting your suitcase in a locker for free.
We booked through Travel Republic and would definitely go again.

We enjoyed our time in Green Golf, the accomodation was good but certain parts of the bungalow needed redecoration. We had damp marks on the ceiling which we reported and the maintenance team came and painted it over.
The facilities are excellent and the room maids, maintenance and restaurant staff were very polite and always acknowledged you as they went by. The complex was spotlessly clean everywhere.Although it was full, it did not seem busy at any time.

Unfortunately, the reception staff were let down by the rudest women who worked on the desk, with dark hair and glasses. She was unhelpful and rude, the men on reception were pleasant.

Matt our Tomson rep was very good for a young guy and very knowledgable.

We loved the place and will certainly return even with the witch on the desk.

Back two weeks from the green golf bungalows. Have to agree with Paddy from Cork, there are an awful lot of the bungalows in the shade.Ours was in the shade all the time. We arrived on a Saturday. We did ask to be moved to a pool-facing one and the very nice guy at reception told us there was a waiting list. In fairness, he did get back to us on the Tuesday and told us that there was a bungalow vacant facing the smaller ( cold) pool. Having weighed up the pros and cons of packing up everything and moving we decided to stay put as the large heated pool and sun terraces were just around the corner. Was disappointed to see that there were no parasols around the pool and the sunbeds were not adjustable for sitting up reading. Found reception staff very polite and extremely helpful. Cant say the same for the supermarket or bar staff. Bar completely empty and dead at night so if you want a lively night you'll have to head into Playa del Ingles. There are a few bars in the Faro Centre, but they're quite dead as well. Had buffet in green golf one night but it wasnt great. Although there were only two of us, the bungalows were a little pokey. No space in bedroom. Beds a little on hard side. Lovely powerful shower. No hairdryer or bath.Nowhere really to dry your clothes in a hurry as no sun front or back of bungalows, so bring a couple of swimsuits! Cleaning staff very efficient. Great place for walking, nearly all flat and no crowds. All in all we had a great holiday,

Home after 2 weeks at the green golf.
On arrival allocated apartment facing north by the main road with a view of the green bottle bank. These apartments facing north,of which there are many, never see the sun.
Main reason for holiday was for sun sun sun.Requested change but was informed "full senor" and was shown a list of approx 15 who also wanted a change.I wonder why?
Spoke to Sunway rep following morning after which an apartment became available by the golf side-club house side-sun in the afternoon.
Peace and quiet 5/5.Cleanliness3/5 marks deducted for failure to rub a mop to the floors for the entire 2nd week.Did it ourselves eventually.Room, bed took up most of the space.Bed,some type of under sheet squeeked and squaked every time one made the slightest move.Food-had buffet 1st and only night _not great.Mini market, expensive.bottle of verano 10.20 here 7.50 elsewhere.Tv, antique model at a cost of 26e +15e deposit and something similiar for safe and you are down 80e before you set foot in the place.Pools looked very nice.Sunloungers,2/5 no back rest.Parasols none available but bus shelter type constructions here and there, not much use.Staff very pleasant.
Travelled with Sunway, cost just short of 1600e.Flights,pick up,drop offs excellent.Tip take a taxi 3e to Barbados restaurant and you wont be dissapointed. Many hotels apartment complex's are predominently German and they get all the prime locations ie sun direct on their patios or balconies, sea views, pool views ect.Sick of it I am.Cranky old git too__ .Would I recommend to a friend? YES but with guarantee of apartment facing sun otherwise NO.

Got back on Saturday after 5 days with my grown up daughter. Very good place, rooms excellent and pool perfect. Cleaners are first class and whole complex is very clean.
All in all would rate excellent with 2 exceptions: 4 visits to reception, 1 to check in: great, 2 to ask for nearest petrol station: great, 3 to ask if we could keep room until 15.00, poor (miserable women who said it would be 25 euros and 'forgot' to mention courtesy room), 4 in evening after 3 to ask about room again when she had gone when all was great again. Also bar area servers were very average. I would certainly go back there again but had forgotten how rude/jaded some Spanish people have become. We spent many years in the Greek Islands where they all are happy to have you there.
