I stayed with a friend for one week between 5th and 12th June 2014. We arrived in the early hours but were so relieved to see how impressive and beautiful the hotel was. The welcome was warm and friendly and throughout our stay all the staff were attentive but not at all 'in your face'. We were particularly happy with the pool area which was spotlessly clean and beautifully laid out with a 'sandy beach' area, four pools and plenty of shady areas to get a drink or reasonably priced bite to eat. The food was delicious every night with a good variety of dishes to choose from. You can be as healthy or naughty as you want. The only drawback of the hotel was its distance from the main shopping area and beach ~ it was a bit of a trek but just one of those things. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family and would consider returning in the future.

Have just returned from a one week stay at this hotel and all my expectations were exceed. The hotel and rooms are very clean and the staff are very friendly. the pool area and man made beach are excellent and very spacious. I would estimate the hotel was no more than that 50% full during the second week in June. it would probably feel over crowded if it was full.

the food in the restaurant was excellent and with a good variety. the service the staff provided by was great and were always polite.

The rooms appear to have been recently decorated with new furniture. the beds are comfortablewith and the balconies are a good size.

the hotel is located a bit on its own and takes 20 mins to walk to the beach and Meloneras, but it is well worth the walk. A taxi to Playa del Ingles was €5.

I enjoyed the holiday so much that I am likely to return later in the year. The only decision is will it be Masapalomas (half board) or Tabaiba Princess (all inclusive).

if I have to raise a negative point it was having to pay for the wifi. it is €19 for the week however, unlike previous reviews it is available all over the hotel including rooms, the bar and even around the pool. The only poor receoption area was in the dining room. it is also very fast as my tablet decided to it wanted to upgrade the Os to kit Kat with no problems.

overall a great hotel and good value for the money.

Having read the posts on here I was extremely nervous about going to this hotel. However, I was not disappointed. The staff when we arrived were very friendly and helpful. The reps were excellent and couldnt do any more for us. The rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel was situated perfectly for us and not in heart of busy area, again as described. We were on half board basis and food for breakfast and evening meal again was excellent, was lots of it and lots of choice. Entertainment was, in the main, good. Bejing acrobats were excellent, magician was typical magician and bit cheesey. Three tenors tribute again great. Towels for pool side also included and a courtesy room used yesterday to shower in. Again brill, would definitely recommend and will be looking to go back again in future.

Room Tip: Would say to ask for double bed as some were pushed together, but we had double mattress. A quiet ro...

I gave a review of this place last year. At the time my complaint was supposedly being looked into by Thompson. They did nothing!!! Said it was out of their hands. what a waste of time! Absolutely awful, do not rely on them to ell you if things go wrong. They are lazy and have no intention of doing anything about your complaints. I found out my watch was gone when I got home, i though my husband had put it in his belongings from the safe in the room. When we got to Gatwick I realised he had not. They tad me that I should have reported it in Spain!! How could I? I know it was the staff who took it. There is no other explanation. They said they looked because I called the hotel a couple of times. They supported the cleaners as they were all family. Be warned, they are light fingered!!! And the sataff are not bothered about this as are the reps.

Room Tip: Don't go!!! Stayed in June 2013

Just returned from another wonderful week at this hotel. May very quiet month for gran canaria so hotel very quiet which was great for us. Staff amazing as always and gave us a lovely welcome back just like old friends. Jamal (staff manager) was his usual exceptional self and really looked after us and our 11 year old daughter. Pool area at this hotel is stunning and weather and food always good here Really relaxed and had some quality family time and good fun. Have booked to go again in October. Can't wait to be back. Highly recommended.

Just returned from a week in the princess. Have to say I've really been impressed. The hotel itself is beautiful, excellent spacious rooms with cleanliness running throughout. Staff friendly from the maids to chefs.

Big point for me was the food, as a very fussy eater I was nervous about coming somewhere half board but I wasn't disappointed. Every morning and night there was a large variety of food to suit everyone even me!
Mornings were Cereals, fruit, cooked breakfast, selection of bread and even hot pancakes!

Evening well what didn't they provide!! Each night was different and there was a main meat cooked live for you by a friendly chef! Puddings were extensive and top quality!!

What impressed me with the food was how attentive the staff were at bringing out fresh food and taking away anything which had been stood for a while.

Evening entertainment was varied and what you would expect from Beatles tribute to a amazing acrobat show!! The piano bar was cheesy but even that was entertaining especially when taking advantage of happy hour (drinks 2 for 1!!! )

Location is good if you don't mind a walk. Beach is 20 mins walk but scenic. Shopping centres, cafés and bars line the route near the beautiful lighthouse. If walking isn't for you the taxis are cheap and a better alternative than the bus which isn't much less.

Overall a fantastic holiday which provided rest and relaxation in beautiful surroundings! Can see why people return here year on year!

We recently had a week break with our 4yr old son, Hotel is excellent and the pools are really child friendly. The problem is the Hotels are predominantly German occupation and also German Homosexual. We witnessed many occasions gay activity on sun beds and the Staff did nothing. The heterosexual couples complained, nor did the same. Would not go back
