stayed here the 1st 2 weeks of june, when we arrive we were impressed by the reception area as it it massive, very modern with glass lifts , room was very clean with flat screen tv, big bathroom with shower over bath again very clean, we were on 2nd floor, anyroom below that is very dark due to the palm trees so ask for room above the 1st 2 floors, food was brilliant both for breakfast and evening meal with plenty of choice, pools are also brilliant manmade beach is ok but it was more like cat litter than sand ? evening entertainment was ok, but most nights we went out, drinks are expensive at hotel, was a lot cheaper going up the chaperal centre or the yumbo centre, taxi cost no more than 4-5 euros. beach is about 20 minutes away but we enjoyd our stroll there, bus stop is just outside across the road if needed and very cheap, we used busses to go to mogan (fantastic place for a visit) and a lot cheaper than paying through the reps, local busses are very cheap, and very clean, bad points about hotel is they charge a lot for wifi ( dont bother because it,s free in most bars and cafe,s outside, they charge for the fridge in your room, and for the safe, our beds were 2 singles pushed together which was a shame would of liked a double. like i said lovely hotel. food brilliant but be readyfor all the extras you may pay (if a little cafe can give free wifi why cant they ???

Room Tip: all rooms below 2nd floor are dark (no sunshine)

This hotel is flagged up as being a 5* resort, sadly I would not say that it comes close. We stayed for a week Half Board at the begining of June and used it simply as a sun getaway as my partner is pregnant and wont be able to travel fo some time. It was meant to be very comfortable and sadly this wasnt the case.
The room was big enough with a good bathroom but the beds suck! they are brick hard and when asked for a double we had two singles pushed together, also you have to pay for a really rubbish fridge for the time you are there if you want to use it and the A.C is terrible.
The meals are ok, nothing to rave about sadly, breakfast is good but the main evening meals are pretty poor selection and quality, no where close to previous higher rater hotels we have stayed in before.
The pool area is large and the pools look great but sadly they were colder than the north atlantic during our visit so it made for a uncomfortable swim! The "beach" area is more like gravel and saldy due to the vast amounts of cats allowed to roam on the resort is more used as some sort of giant cat box - not great given the amound of kids using the resort.
The staff are the highlight of this resort, always active, helpful and friendly sadly the accomodation is not up to the same standard or else this would be a great get away.

Room Tip: Pass, we asked for a double and got two singles pushed together so dont hold your breath for a good...

Stayed for a week here at the beginning of June, booked only a few weeks previously. Lovely modern hotel with spectacular grounds. We upgraded to a junior suite which was a lovely large bright room. The staff were helpful and friendly. The only minus points I would say is that it is about 20 minutes walk down to the beach and local bars and restaurant and no shuttle bus was provided. We stayed half board and whilst there was plenty of choice the evening main courses could have been better. Maspalomas and Meloneras definitely worth visiting and I would return there again.

Room Tip: If you are having a pool view room request a higher floor as the lovely palm trees in the grounds ca...

The hotel itself is spacious and modern with a lovely tropical theme to it. The rooms were clean and modern also. We found that the transport was easy to get and we travelled to Palmitos Park (Dolphin show was great!!) and even got a taxi down to Meloneras, which is down by the sea front with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. I have seen many complaints about the location of the hotel but it really is not that far to walk! and the taxi was just under €5.

There was a large variety of food, but there was two occasions in the evening that the meals could've been better. However that all depends on personal preference!

I would also recommend 'Holiday World' - although it was very empty but great for a game of evening bowling! and also the Moonlight Cinema was great watching a film outside at night.

Overall we had an amazing holiday! and would definitely return to Maspalomas Princess.

Room Tip: High floors

We have been visiting Gran Canaria over the past 10 years and return to Maspalomas Princess over and over again because it is such a lovely place to stay. Beautiful surroundings, fantastic food. Staff warm and friendly. The only thing which would like to see improved is the gym equipment which could do with updating. Otherwise Its a lovely place to stay. Highly recommended.

The hotel is beautiful, very big and modern. Rooms are ok, standard. Restaurant meals are good and entertainment good too. The only downside for us was that it was far from everything, the area is very quiet. Nearest beach is around 20min walk, and town centre 30min away. Even though the hotel was great, but the area didn't do it for us.

I stayed with a friend for one week between 5th and 12th June 2014. We arrived in the early hours but were so relieved to see how impressive and beautiful the hotel was. The welcome was warm and friendly and throughout our stay all the staff were attentive but not at all 'in your face'. We were particularly happy with the pool area which was spotlessly clean and beautifully laid out with a 'sandy beach' area, four pools and plenty of shady areas to get a drink or reasonably priced bite to eat. The food was delicious every night with a good variety of dishes to choose from. You can be as healthy or naughty as you want. The only drawback of the hotel was its distance from the main shopping area and beach ~ it was a bit of a trek but just one of those things. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family and would consider returning in the future.
