We reserved this hotel merely for its location to our time-share next door. If we knew of the standards of this hotel we would perhaps have tried to reserve couple extra nights from our hotel. Little did we know about all-inclusive... I read some reviews here that were in the end spot on.
Most people seemed to be after food and drink more than just stay in the hotel and enjoy the surrounding island. People kept carrying drinks from restaurant and pool to various areas of the hotel which wasn't exactly what there was suggested by the hotel staff. Poolside was crowded with towels in the morning despite the rules.
Hint for the meals/drinks: take the fish/chicken that is grilled by staff and then fill the rest of your plate with veggies/salad. Eat salad with fish by the pool. Don't bother the hotdogs/burgers/fries.
Drink Beer/sangria/coffee...the rest is of no quality.
When we arrived there was really helpful receptionist named FRANZISKA, she's the best. She knows language and her service is the best in this hotel. Our room did not have remote for the TV - went to reception and remarked this. What I would have expected was since there was no replacement unit was that they should have offered something IMMEDIATELY in return like 24h WiFi. Later that night we received replacement remote but only after dinner.
We asked reception help for traveling to airport since we did not book with an agent. They guided me around the corner in the lobby to the agency-representatives that guided me back to the reception. The manager and the next supervisor were of no help ---no service here. The reception person (female) did not even have decent answer....did not know english sufficiently.
What I would have recommended in improvement was that they should have bus routes and taxi fares available at hand to help the customer.
With all the info I now have I would certainly not come back. This was once in a lifetime experience with this hotel.

Room Tip: B-Block has balconies to the sun but there is slight highway noice.

overall ok, on arrival we were met with pleasant reception staff, room size was fine and clean, a thank you to the cleaning staff who do not get a mention very often, december and it was cold in bed even with the extra blanket, pool snack bar was the same every day, but the food in the restaurant changed daily and plenty of it, down sides food was nearly cold by the time you got back to your table, big screen tv picture was not good(football),
C block room 421 is a room to avoid as there is a chimney attached to the wall outside, this left the room smelling of smoke, also it gives out black soot that landed on our balcony, it was cleaned up after i reported it to reception( no sorry or apology given),. beer in the hotel was not good

Room Tip: odd room numbers in block c will give you a view of the dual carriageway, some rooms also face the a...

Stayed on the 28th of November for one weeks holiday family of 5. Good overall , food ok always something to eat but could have done with being a bit hotter. Staff in the main ok, there are the usual grumpy ones but just turn a blind eye ...the reception staff make up for the grumpy ones anyway they are spot on and always do their best to help.
The only let down for us was the pool ....absolutely freezing and could have done with being heated.

Thank you for a lovely stay .

Spent a week here (all inclusive). Plenty of soft drinks on tap all day (can't comment on the booze- I don't drink) plus snacks for most of the day. One thing- coffee was available from (free) machines, giving several choices (filter, espresso etc), but... they ALL tasted like they had chocolate in them! We had asked for a quiet room- and were given a ground floor room in F block, directly above the disco. After one night, we asked for a room change, there was no problem with this and we were moved to the top floor in A block- the side away from the pool, where we caught the sun for much of the day on the balcony.
I notice that many previous reviews are critical of the food. Personally, I thought it was absolutely fine, and have no complaints in that direction.
In fact, I have no real complaints in any direction. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, as did my girlfriend. The beach and shopping centre are not too close, but there is a regular free bus service, and if you miss the last bus a taxi is only 4 euros.

When we arrived on the 18th Nov we were advised our room was not ready & to have a drink at the pool bar. Over 4 hrs later we were still waiting despite a large group of 300+ Norwegians being places in their room (when they had arrived after us).
When making a compliant to our rep, she and the lovely Lola on reception upgraded our room, ensured a free spa treatment, free safe, free wifi & free use of a beach towel.
The rest of our hol was fab, the only complaint we had (not down to the fault of the hotel) was that the large Norwegian group did take over the pool bar with their accordion band for 3 nights running, however they were moved to another area of the hotel for other nights.
The food is brilliant for an all inclusive and as a vegetarian I never struggled. The staff are all hard working and friendly, and a free bus is put on several times a day to the beach (as the complex is situated atop a large hill). Also taxis are cheap (between 3-4 euros).
I would stay here again, in fact this was my second stay.

My hubby and I have just returned from a weeks holiday here at the Dunas Mirador. We asked for double bed with pool view but instead we got two single beds (very uncomfortable) with a view facing the motorway with ants for some company!! The rooms are of great size, but don't expect your bed sheets to get changed in the WEEK because they DON'T, you only get clean towels once in the week if you take them of the maids trolley cause they never changed them either! Ask for a double bed and you need to pay for it, ask for the code for the room safe or wi-fi we had to pay to use it, you also had to pay for the hair dryer, tv remote control and pool towels 10Euro deposit and 1 Euro per day. We were advised to use bottled water and yes you have guessed you have to pay for it. If u want a drink you need to pay for them in the lobby bar but at the pool bar they are free. If you sit at the bar it's in a glass and if you move 3 steps away to a table it's in plastic cup.
If you are an all inclusive guest then DON'T sit in the lobby bar, one man we met whilst on holiday, sat there with his "free" drink and his green wristband on sat down to have a cig and the waiter came out and told him "to move to the pool bar" (which had no seats by the way) and Les said "there is no seats up there" to which the waiter replied with "which part of MOVE don't you understand"!!!! (can I just add Les is a 73 year old gentleman)!!!!!!
The staff are very rude, except the reception staff they are all helpful and pleasant. I got hit on the leg with a table AND a chair by the waiter as he threw them across the dining room and never even apologised!!!!! You can get coffee but no juice at breakfast and you can get juice but no coffee at lunch or dinner. The waiters lift you dinner away while you are still eating it, iIleft mine to go get a fork as I dropped mine and when I came back my dinner was away, I went back up to get more chicken and explained to the waitress and she said "sorry back of the queue" which had about 30 people in it!! We left and went to the restaurant round the corner. The fresh food was good and warm but the chips etc that's in the buffet style dishes were cold, really cold! but we always did find something to eat, food was ok.
They wash the pathways at 9AM, thats when the majority of people are on their way to breakfast, and it was very slippery, I seen about 15 people slip, inc me, i'm actually surprised no-one got hurt to be honest.
The tv has 14 channels and 2.5 of them are in english, cnn, bbc news and the disney channel (its only in English some of the time).
no entertainment at all, well we did have norwegian men staying and they played the Accordions for us.
swimming pool was supposed to be heated but it was FREEZING, that cold you couldn't stay in for any longer than 2 mins.
You couldn't move the sunbeds around as they were too tightly packed in. and I mean packed in. the legs of your sunbed would be butted up to the legs of the next sunbed. you couldn't access the side of your sunbed at all. not even to put a drink down.
the cocktails are disgusting. all out of an automatic dispenser, yuk!!
no air con or fridges in the rooms.
Now...despite all of this we did enjoy our holiday - but simply because after working out all of the above we opted to make it our base and use the hotel for food, drink and a room. by getting out and about we salvaged the holiday and made loads of great people by the end of the 7th day there was 16 of us.

Just returned from a weeks holiday at the Dunas Mirador on 28th November. The plus points were rooms are a good size and beds were very comfortable. The downsides were numerous. One of the pools was advertised as heated, I am sure that there was a trickle of hot water in it some where but it was freezing. We went to this hotel as it advertised a heated pool, swimming is important to us on holiday.and we were so disappointed that the pool was so bitterly cold. Everyone smokes everywhere. No staff ask visitors to put out their cigarettes. Poeple smoke in all areas apart from inside the building. So you can be sitting in the restaurant and the smoke wafts in from outside and is quite overpowering. I did complain to the Thomas Cook rep who told me to complain to the hotel staff and they would ask the guests to stop smoking.I would not return here ever again. We found the staff uninterested in us . We were all inclusive.

Room Tip: We had a room in D block on the top floor. It did not overlook the pool but the sun shone on the bal...
