if your thinking of choosing this hotel it is not a bad choice. we have recently returned from 1 week at Jardin Dorado and enjoyed our stay. The rooms are clean and spacious, clean towels daily. The pool area is nice but to be honest didn't spend much time around the pool.
Food is a buffet style and wasn't bad some days better than others, Breakfast good choice. We didn't eat there every night as was a bit boring.
Very quiet hotel ideal for family's and couples but if your looking for Bars and some entertainment this hotel isn't for you. Its a good 30mins walks into Maspalomas. There are some free buses daily, or Taxis around 4 Euros, not much around the hotel so you do have to go out to get to some bars/restaurants etc.
No shop at hotel so do have to walk 10mins to a mini market.
Good local bus services to all attractions and to near by Yumbo centre.
all in all its clean, nice and a pleasant stay its just a little quiet and out of the way.
would recommend El casa a restaurant on Maspalomas promenade best meal of the week.

Where to begin. I was very excited to go to Maspolomas, however, was completely disgusted with the so called all inclusive experience.
On the first night I arrived...I was told I had 10 mins to eat...fair enough...I arrived at 945 PM..and undertandbly, the kitchen staff cant work 24 hours a day. However, I went to get a drink from the bar at 1101 PM and was told...NO Inclusive!! I asked what the awful guy was talking about...since other paying patrons seemed to be able to get drinks after 1100 PM! He insisted All inclusive drinks ended at 1100 PM - I was not the only frustrated camper...talk about a downer start to vacation.
The rooms were clean, however, did not have basic ammenities like coffee/tea/sugar/milk....although there was a coffee maker?
Every breakfast was the same....no signs to tell you what it was you were about to eat.....got sick most morning's after the breakfast...which I brought to the front desk's attention often! They shrugged there shoulders....and said sorry.
I had to chase house keeping every day for clean towels, soap , shampoo etc....and not once in the 7 days did the change my sheets?????
I wanted an ice cream sandwhich bar...which were in a freezer by the bar...locked away...and was again told....Non Inclusive.....a lozy ice cream bar.
The wine was watered down...which was just crazy....the beer was full of suds...terrible!
The front desk was completley useless and most of the staff.....clearly hated their jobs or being involved with tourists!
Shame...because it could be a top notch property if they just tried and cleaned a few itesm up!

The worst....................on the last day my flight was at 9 PM....when I checked out...I was told....All Inclusive stopped at noon......so no food, water, drinks or anything else! When I went to order a drink I guess they thought I was still a guest and gave me a glass of wine...this was just before I was leaving hotel.......................within 3 mins of sitting down...I was told...you must pay for your glass of wine....no exceptions......................

From begining to end....it was a nasty experience based on rediculous hotel policy and very unfreindly staff who clearly could not care about customer experience.

Dear Sir, we regret that you have carried out his threat to publish a bad review if the hotel did not offer free food and drink after the last day check out.

In response to criticism, we also regret that before booking at our hotel, you do not read the schedule and content of our "all inclusive" services, which are explained in detail in the description of your tour operator for this book: "Hotels4U.com ". Reading times you would have allowed him to know prior to arrival or reservation whether he agreed or not. Even his legacy to the hotel information is given with all these details.

That description also would have realized that the departure time of the room is 12 noon, as usual in 99% of the world's hotels. We offer a courtesy room if your departure is later than that time, but our services are terminated at the time of his departure, but you can still enjoy our complimentary room and our pool area free of charge.

Regarding cleanliness, changing towels and bath gel champoo is done daily, if for some reason it was not done correctly this service, you should have communicated to our reception staff to solve your problem, but you did not at any time, incomprehensibly.

In short, we again regret that you have posted this unfair criticism, as the last day of your stay you said you would, if you do not we allowed to stay at your room and eat and drink for free after your departure until you left the hotel at night.

You must understand that customers who arrive the day of your departure, have the right to check in their rooms by 12 noon, they can not wait to enjoy their rooms for customers who want to stay until evening even night . This happens in all hotels.

We have just returned from a lovely family holiday at this hotel with our two children aged 4 and 6. It is spotlessly clean, the staff work hard and there is a nice atmosphere at the pool. If you want a relatively cheap week in the sun, you really cannot go wrong. The food is very good, with lots of choice of hot food, salads and good authentic spanish food, lots of fish and seafood, even nuggets, pizza and chips for our fussy kids. Always fruit and veg available and the desserts are wonderful.

We hired a car through pluscars for the week which was brilliant. You are a twenty minute drive from the airport, ten minutes from Aqualand and five minutes from Maspalomas resort. Very efficient service.

My only criticism is that this resort is tiny, 100 bungalows around a pool with one buffet restaurant. Really tiny! The bungalows are perfectly adequate and comfortable for a week's stay. The place is a little understaffed and it is a bit basic but it's absolutely fine. You won't get cocktails on tap, ten different restaurants to choose from, eight different pools and 24 hour food. There is only entertainment on a Friday and Saturday night with a bbq so it does feel a bit dead in the evenings, but if you hire a car, it gives you freedom to leave the complex when you want to. This is a small operation and just can't sustain those kinds of services. For a week, it's fine but I think two weeks would be too long here.

But that doesn't mean you won't have a nice time either......we had a brilliant week of family fun. And Aqualand is fantastic - definitely get a packed lunch before you set out as food is really pricey there!! 40 euros for 4 people to have nuggets, chips and diet coke!!

You get what you pay for and for the amount we paid, I think it's very good value for money. Just don't go with ridiculous expectations, hire a car and you will have a lovely time.

Our first family all inclusive so hard to make comparisons, but absolutely no complaints. Our boys aged 6 and 12 had a great time in the pool. There is a free bus to the nearby beaches or a taxi is 4 or 5 euros. We would recommend a trip to nearby aqualand. Make sure you get there for opening at 10 to avoid the queues and get a packed lunch from Dorado (book the night before for free) to avoid the expensive food at the park. Only negatives are not much entertainment (2 nights a week) and the sofa bed in the room was not the best.

As a family of 3, (2 adults and a 9 yr old) we booked this holiday in June as part of a group. We decided on this resort after looking for an economical all inclusive holiday.

I WILL SAY THIS NOW; THIS RESORT HAS NO REAL COMPLAINTS FROM ME. HOWEVER IT COULD BE SOOOOO MUCH MORE!!!

On arrival our room was not ready and we waited for about an hour and a half before being told we could go to our bungalow. When getting our bungalow parts of the interior was being painted and there was a cleaner there, so not a good start in 40 degree heat. I must admit that on first impressions I was not to impressed and expected more, however read on...

Bungalow: Basic furnishings 2/3 star but perfectly adequate. The 'double bed' was 2 singles pushed together and made up as singles under a double bedspread. Only 1 pillow per person. Bathroom clean and basic, but adequate. Nice patio area outside to sit.

The all inclusive drinks are okay if you like local spirits; however the local beers are like ice-creams, half beer and half froth. .. Most of the time there was a long wait at the bar as there was only one person serving. Please note, this is the only bar in the complex. There are no inside bars to use in the evenings when the weather is colder, which could cause problems if it rains.

The majority of the employees were friendly but there were not enough of them, I think you could count on one hand the staff that was with us all week.

As many people have said getting up at 06:00 to get a sun bed is all too common in most resorts, however nothing was done by staff to release sun beds that were not being used.

Our room was ok and perfect for what we needed, but don’t expect the beds to be made?

Gym well it was the size of any of a 12X12 shed with a few machines in this (unattended) and half broken... Sauna was enough to get 2 people in maybe 3

Overall it was ok; however would I go again, probably not. It is in the middle of nowhere and everything is a Taxi ride away. It is nowhere near a 4 Star resort, 2/3 maybe.

You will notice that whilst eating meals you will be visited by 2 wild cats that sit at your feet. The staff don’t really care that they are there. One couple had their young child attached by one!!!!

Room Tip: Try to get the 200 numbers as they are closer to the pool

So, why did you book this holiday. The sun? The all inclusive? The accommodation?
We booked for all three. We have been to the area before so knew the local geography.
Unlike some other reviewers we knew it was a 20 minute or so walk to the beach.
But hey! There is a free bus to and from.
It makes me wonder about people who book a hotel before actually knowing where it is. Don't complain about it's location AFTER YOU booked it.
You probably spend more time walking round Tesco than it takes to get to the beach.
Did you book it for the wifi? It is free and yes it is a bit random, but it is free. We stayed in a four star hotel nearby previously and had to pay a day rate.
The sun is available free. I'm surprised some reviewers don't complain about it being too hot.
Ok. On arrival we were pleasantly and efficiently dealt with by the male receptionist. We found the reception staff extremely helpful and welcoming throughout our stay.
The accommodation is good. Individual bungalows. Cleaned daily with fresh towels. A small drying contraption that dries about 4 tee shirts if you are lucky is in a small enclosed courtyard at the back of the bungalow.
The general staff are welcoming and friendly. One day the maid forgot to leave us fresh towels. We went to reception and the receptionist called someone straight away and the maid virtually ran to our room to bring the towels.
The waiting staff speak good English and are happy to talk to you in English too. They were always pleasant and helpful. I am not sure why other guests seem to disagree in other reviews.
The site is well presented and the hotel accommodates mainly English guests.  There were some Spanish holiday makers here too. We took that as a good sign.
You have to pay if you want a safe- really in this day and age? £30 for two weeks.
You pay a deposit of €10 for pool towels which can be changed at reception.
The food is of good quality, though does get a bit repetitive, though to be fair there is always lots of choice.
The pool is superb and needed in the heat of the day.
There are signs saying not to swim before 9 but it is usually ok as long as the pool guy has finished his work 8-830.
There are rules about no balls in the pool. We had a small one as did others and had good careful fun.
As the holiday progressed more inflatables were used by the children. I wish the rule about no inflatables was enforced as this became ridiculous at times.
For 12 of our 14 days we had to get up pre dawn to reserve a sun bed until the hotel said that beds could not be reserved until after 8. Two days of lie ins.
Honestly it was madness seeing a woman in her nightie at 645 in the dark dragging sunbeds and placing towels
The hotel really must continue to enforce this rule.
Finally about the pool. There is no lifeguard.
Please also be aware that if you book a late flight back to the UK and the hotel expect you to check out at mid day this is your fault or your agents,  not the fault of the hotel. Though it is clear they will let you stay longer in your room of they aren't full. When we stayed they were full.
We listened to a guy moan all day as he sat in the sun getting other hotel guests to provide him with drinks moaning that this was the hotel being unreasonable.
He also said that despite the fact he thought the hotel should actually be a four star he would be leaving them a rubbish review.
It was not the hotels fault that he booked late flights back. Maybe he should complain to his travel agent or if he booked the flights himself, own up to cocking up himself rather than be spiteful.
Overall a good holiday hotel  it was a fabulous stay.
