“Super, but!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 June 2013

Cannot praise the Canary Garden Club Enough. The whole place was spotless, OK, the Bungalows were small, but for a holiday perfect! We were all inclusive, and the food was possibly the best we have had on European All Inclusive. The only Gripe, and this is not the Canary Garden Club’s fault, is that a Drunken Glaswegian tried to break into our bungalow, and even after trying to reason with him, he continued to swear at us and frightened my wife and daughters. Even worse, he apologized to everyone the next day…. Apart from us! However, apart from that, a delightful place, if you want a laid back holiday.

Just returned from the Canary Garden Club
I can only repeat the reviews already posted - Brilliant. Approx 25 mins from airport. We arrived around 10.30 pm where we were greeted by the nicest staff you could wish for. We went to the Bungalow to drop off the luggage & were invited back for a complimentary meal & drinks due to having a late flight missing the restaurant. Bungalow was ample size for 2 of us & spotless, light & bright throughout. Aircon & safe are not free but we didn't need them. Table, chairs & 2 sunbeds provided on your private terrace (great if you want privacy). Beds firm but comfy, tv if you need it. 2 adult & 1 childrens pools with free sunloungers & parasols, poolside showers & spotless toilets. The grounds, bungalows, pool areas, etc were perfectly maintained & we could not fault them. The whole place feels safe, peaceful & relaxing with guests having a sensible relaxed attitude, friendly with no hassle, very laid back. Very low key on entertainment on a night time so we went out to the sea front. Great location, approx. 3km. from Playa Del Ingles & Maspolomas beach. Nice steady walks & only 3 - 4 euros for a taxi. Bus stops are mainly in the actual towns but the buses are great & the fares are cheap (eg. Maspolomas to Mogen 2.5 euros)
Can't say anything more, No frills but plenty relaxation - Great. We will Definitely be returning in the future.

Room Tip: We had a west facing Bungalow so you have the sun on the terrace longer at night. Also the bungalows...

Bungalows are newly refurbished. absolutely clean and food in the resturant is very good. We had to vacate early due to family illness the staff helped me book flights and arranged every thing. Thanks to all at Canary garden club

Room Tip: We had 13/4 unlucky for some but furthest from the pool but ultimately peaceful

Lovely clean hotel. Staff fantastic food very nice. Great place to relax, but you need to go out for entertainment. The bungalow was nice and private. the furniture was nice and the beds were really comfortable. every bungalow has its own sun loungers so you dont need to sit round the pool.Would definitely go again.

We've stayed here many times before and I have to say it is still as fantastic as ever. I've never stayed anywhere so clean! We've just returned from a 10 day stay and have again found the canary Garden Club to be of fantastic quality. All of the staff from the helpful and welcoming people on reception to the cleaning staff are great. Always happy to help and cheerful - which sadly isn't always the case in Spanish hotels and complexes. The bungalows are spotlessly clean and the beds seem to have been replaced since our last stay a few months ago as they were very comfy and superior to most other matresses we've encountered elsewhere. They also seems to have all been fitted with a microwave as well. The only slight criticism we would have is that there is no electric kettle in the bungalow and you have to boil water in the little stove kettle - which isn't necessarily a major issue - just a small thing really. Also there is no toaster. You can hire one for around €12 for 7 days or €18 for 14 days. However there are a few toasters that previous guests have left (including ourselves) that they will try to loan you if one is available rather than calling their rental supplier - for which you will need to pay the above charges. We were not charged for the toaster we had on loan so I can only assume that this is par for the course.....

The bungalow complex is very quiet, mostly accommodating older guests. Although myself and my partner are aged 43 and 58 we really still appreciated that you were able to get a good nights sleep or be able to relax in the grounds or by the pool without hoards of noisy party people!

We've stayed in many other bungalow complexes in Spain and Gran Canaria and Canary Garden Club is head and shoulders above them all in terms of quality, value for money, enjoyment of stay, customer service and wonderful staff. We're going back for another stay in October and cannot wait.

Also worth taking a walk down to Melonaras which is a 30 minute gentle stroll away. Tends to be the higher end of shops and restaurants if you want to get away from the trinket shops, all-you-can-eat chinese restaurants and gays bars of the Yumbo Centre.

We hired a car for the time we were there but taking a taxi is very cheep if you're going from maspalomas to say the Yumbo Centre .... Around €3. Or a 30 minute stroll - which is okay if it's cool - not so nice in 33c searing heat!

Thank you guys for another great stay!!

This was our first visit to Gran Canaria and after visiting Puerto de Mogan I can say it will not be our last! Both the flight (Jet2 - loads of leg room) and the transfer from the airport to Maspalomas Canary Garden Club went off without a hitch. The roads are so much better than ours, no pot holes! We arrived after the kitchen had closed but a cold meat and salad platter had been saved for us, (we were all inclusive) and were told to get settled in our 'bungalow' before returning to the dining area. The accommodation is all ground floor level with each 'bungalow' housing 4 x 1 bedroom apartments. First impression was how clean the place was. Even the paths through the gardens to our apartment looked freshly painted! This 'clean' impression didn't alter throughout our stay. Sprinklers strategically placed at corners of bungalows and along the edges of paths came on, as if by magic, each morning around dawn and washed all the paths and watered the lawns and flower beds. There was an army of cleaning staff sweeping, washing and cleaning every day. Our apartment had two chairs and table for the outside patio, two sunbeds, 2 ring ceramic hob, full size fridge, microwave and a full set of crockery and cutlery. There was no kettle but we just boiled water in the microwave for tea. Ample room for two with a double and a single bed in the bedroom and a shower that put our's at home to shame, it was so powerfull! Both breakfast and dinner were buffet style and lunch was from the pool bar and eaten outside. I know some people don't like buffet style meals and prefer to have their food brought to them but however you like to eat it's the quality of the food that makes the difference. We found the food to be very varied, cultural and tasty. Apart from local dishes there was always a mediterranean or english dish and always salads. If you are looking for accommodation with lots to do Canary Garden Club is not for you. It's the sort of place where you can relax, unwind, do nothing if you wish, eat the local food and drink the local drinks. It's very quiet but with good transport links to every corner of Gran Canaria. A 'must' to visit is Palmitos Park. We spent a day here and we could have spent longer. There are birds, animals, dolphins, you name it. There was a show of the birds of prey, wonderful how they fly free and then come back, and the dolphins put on a spectacular show. There is an outside restuarant but it is pricey, like the cost to get into the Park!! If you get chance to do an island tour make sure it's the one that goes up to Las Palmas and then comes back down the centre of the island. Wonderful scenery!

Having read several reviews about this complex, I can safely say I wasn't disappointed! The whole complex was spotlessly clean and I've never stayed anywhere so clean before. Every day they had an army of cleaning staff out by the pool cleaning the whole area. The rooms were cleaned practically every day and again were spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable. The bungalow was ideal for us (a family of 4) and the complex was very quiet at night and so we slept well. The only slight down side was that you could hear voices from the adjoining bungalow, although it wasn't much of a problem. We also had our towels changed practically every day. We were all inclusive and pleasantly surprised at the standard and choice of the food - there really was something for everyone and you could have as much or as little as you wanted and it was all labelled in different languages so you knew what you were eating! The staff at the complex were all very friendly and made you feel very welcome. The pools were spotlessly clean and there were always enough sunbeds to go round and we had no problem with people 'blocking' them with their towels. We wanted a week to relax in the sun and that's exactly what we got. There was only entertainment on the Friday evening - a guy playing guitar and singing who was quite good - but we didn't really go for the entertainment. If you want a lively holiday then you won't enjoy it here, but if like us you just want to get away from it all and relax, then this is the place for you. We'd definitely go back again and cannot recommend it highly enough.

Room Tip: We had a quiet east facing room near the pool
