We returned from our stay on 30th April having enjoyed a great holiday. You need to get the hotel into perspective before taking any notice of the negative comments - aside from the cost of our flights the stay at the hotel was extremely reasonable and what we received represented terrific value.

Okay the hotel has a few minor faults but overall it represents great value. We found the location ideal as we like walking; we walked to the Faro lighthouse past the nature reserve - a distance of around five miles. On Saturday the local market is nearby and on Sundays there is a car boot sale at the rear of the Faro 2 shopping centre.

The food was okay; the drinks were not watered. In fact I looked at each of the labels on the spirits and vodka, gin, bacardi and malibu were all 25% proof though the whiskey was 40%. As a drinker of Spanish reds I can say the red was not watered either. The beer was Dorada and good!

The main pool is heated which was a major reason for us choosing the Turbo Club though the smaller pool area is less busy and is quieter. It goes without saying that children need to be supervised when in the water!

Entertainment comprises the usual competitions during the day and the early evening entertainment is devoted to the children. The team work hard and deserve some recognition for their effort.

We will consider going back again.

i have stayed in quite a few all inclusive places and the food is always repetative, however turbo club provided a mix of everything! its hard to cater for multiple nationalities! the room was great with plenty of space! it was refreshing to have a fridge and mini hob jst incase we needed it (which we didnt) most of the places ive been to its jst a room with a bathroom! i was pleasantly suprised due to the fact we booked it off a very cheap internet site!! would return jst for hotel! costs about 5 euro to get to playa del inglis for a night out which was much better than having drunken ravers outside your window till 6am! big pool with jacuzzi bit as well, plenty of sunbeds and alcohol was generous unlike other places ive been to!

Room Tip: rooms by the pool were great not too noisy as pool didnt open till 10 but all rooms we saw had priv...

I went here with my boyfriend last year and if your looking for a cheap party holiday it's not too bad, food was repetitive and we were shocked to find out a few holiday makers staying down the road in the princess hotel had a fantastic selection, rooms by the pool r convient but too loud as they wake you up at 8 with blaring music, half the time I served my own drinks, as they do not provide proper cocktails(they came out of a machine). This was all such a shame as one member of staff was fantastic, also to warn everyone you have to buy a safe and fan you will need them both as things went missing also last complaint the cleaning staff!! When we had our rooms cleaned our doors were left unlocked and unattended as the cleaning would dissapear for twenty mins!!! We were lucky as we noticed her do this but its not safe or professional at all overall this was a ok holiday due to the lovely friends we made that's the only reason

We went to The Turbo Club Mapalomas April 21-28 2012.

I have never been on an all-inclusive holiday before, always stayed at 3/ 4 star hotels, with just bed and breakfast. After reading some of the reviews and been told by my mate's, who booked the holiday, that it was a 2 star.... apprehensive was an understatement.

The food, as previously stated on other reviews... It's not 50 euro's restaurant quality.... but I am quite a fussy eater and I found something every meal..... was all of it great, no, but 95 % was good to ok.

Drinks are not branded, but more than strong enough... I didn't think they tasted watered down, as a few have commented. Maybe you should pick up a bottle or two at duty free if that’s what you’re after?

The rooms are clean, functional.... its not where you are going to spend most of your time I would hope, there were no noise issues, but we were quite far from the main pool area, which I assume would have much more.

If you want to explore lots of shops, visit the beach, generally be in the thick of it... don't stay here. It is a very long walk to Maspalomas beach.... although not unpleasant. There’s a bus I believe, didn't use it, so won't comment. Taxis are cheap and reception will order one for you and cost 4/ 5 euro's.

I have tried to give an honest opinion of what I found whilst staying at the Turbo, overall I was pleasantly surprised. Like I previously mentioned, I have never been all - inclusive, so have nothing to compare this complex with, but I would go all-inclusive again. The only reason I probably wouldn't stay here is the location. But if your after a family orientated all inclusive complex, that is clean and simple, with good food and good polite staff and you don't mind been a little far from things... i think you could do much worse.

OMG! Just back from the most amazing hoilday at the Turbo Club! We are a young family of 4 myself my husbans and our 2 boys 5years and 2years! We stayed at the Turbo Club for 1week at the end of April (weather was amazing, just right for the kids)
We were abit worried about the Turbo club as the reports we read wernt that good,
but in our view we had the most wonderfull time! the staff are all happy to help and very friendley and smily and love children, there is a kids club that is really good, our boys loved it. our appartment was right on the pool which was so nice, every thing was clean an tidy the maids came round 3 or 4 times with clean towels sheets for the bed washed the floors ect... in the 1week that we stayed. the food was all ways different very healthy and a pleasure to eat our children didnt moan once about the food they wer happy to try everything and enjoyed eating it and being able to help them selfs to ice cream after there meal as did myself an husband.
The evening intertainment was good fun, light hearted an got every one in a good mood! there was also bits to do in the day e.g water polo, archery, football and lots more, it was fun for all and with it only being a small complex joining in the games helped make lots of friends which helped enjoy the Terbo Club even more!!
The location is good was close to everything there is a free buss to the beach that only takes 5mins but if you miss the busses a taxi cost 3/4 euros or if you fancyed a walk its about half hour. We walked about half hour to do a camel ride over the sand dunes, such fun! thier is a place called Hoildiay World about 5mins walk away from the Turbo Club, good fun for adults and kids too!
We got a really good cheap deal for this allinclusive holiday and would deffantley recomend it to any one!! We had a really fantastic holiday! PLEASE DONT BE PUT OFF BY BAD REPORTS! HOPE THIS HELPS ANYONE THAT IS PLANNING ON BOOKING THE TURBO CLUB!

Hi Everybody, A lot of people expect so much from a 2 star all inclusive, which borders on the absurb. The Turbo Club is not a 4 or 5 star Hotel and cannot compete with a 4 or 5 star Hotel, so lets just ask ourselves why we booked the Turbo Club in the first place, was it the cheap price, yes of course it was, that out of the way, lets carry on.

I have been here 3 times, I am a light sleeper, and I have never been woken up by any noise at all, but then again I stayed by the small pool (quite pool) the main pool which has the bar in the middle is a lot noisier if you have a room on the ground floor, as you would expect it too be, as everyone is closer to the bar enjoying a drink and a laugh, children and adults also swim and play, this pool is also used for waterpolo by the entertainment staff so a lot of shouting when this is being played, so to say it is noisy, then name a swimming pool that isnt.

Then rooms are well maintained and cleaned 3 times a week, the cleaners will come into your room even if you are not there. Sometimes the occupants might not notice they have been cleaned due to the pigsty that they made themselves. There is no kettle or other cooking utensils in the room, you can hire one from reception for 12 euros per week. There is a TV in the room and some have 3 english Channels and others somehow only have 2, there is a film Channel, a news Channel and a CBS Channel that shows old series like mission impossible, kung fu, walker texas ranger etc. The Tv has a slot where you pay as you use, so budget for that as it can be costly over a fortnight. There is a fridge and an electric cooker in the room and NO you dont pay for it. A little advice when having breakfast take some ham and cheese and some rolls back to your room and when your feeling a bit peckish tuck in, infact at lunch i would put some chocolate moose in a large cup and put it in a fridge for the grandchildren and myself ha ha.

When going to the beach, you can ask for a packed lunch, or do as I do make cheese & ham with either a salad or mayonaise, a couple of apples or oranges simple as that. The sunbeds on the beach cost 7 euro's for the whole day, if you dont want to get the courtesy bus the taxi to the beach from the Turbo club is only 4 euro's. So you dont have to miss meals.

Playa Del ingles and the Kasbah are where the nightlife is and a taxi from the Tubo Club is only 4 euro's one way, 1 euro each for 4 people, how bad is that. a 3 course meal, prawn cocktail, peppercorn steak & chips with salad and ice cream with 1 bottle of wine and 2 beers for 4 costs 88 euros, around £20 each. Go to Rickies for a good laugh, its a drag show and the main show starts at 11pm and ends at 01:30, it costs nothing to see the show. well worth seeing. its next door to Burger King in Playa Del ingles, if you got children they are always welcome.

Excursions; avoid Palmeros Park 4 adults 1 child & a baby cost including a taxi and 6 drinks and 6 sandwiches and 1 ice cream and 1 french fries cost 220 euro's, the eagle show was a con as the eagle blended in with the mountains so you only saw it when it returned, all through the show they kept on about having your photo taken with the eagle, the cost of this was 20 euro's and you had to pay up front, so if the picture that they took was crap, it was tough as you have already paid. the parrott show lasted 10/15 minutes and the children loved it and the dolphin show was the best, but once again 30 euro a picture, but if you paid 100 euros you could, for exactly 1 minute ride with the dolphin, my advice dont go.
The Aqua park is a lot cheaper but if you children are under 1.70 meters then they cannot go on the water slides.

Now summing up, the Turbo Club's food can be repetitive, some days when we did not see anything worth having we went out to eat in holiday world which is a 10 minute walk away, a Burger and chips with onion rings is 4 euro's 50 a large pizza is 8 euros 50, if you want to go to the pub in holiday world it is called (the Moonlight Bar) and you can watch football, you get 2 decent pints for 5 euro's, Holiday world has a ten pin bowling rink and is open until 02:30, for the children there is a mini theme park with many good rides and 2 six D film rides, tip pay 30 euro's and you can all use the card as many times as you like for that day. The Turbo Club has a childrens club at 28:30 for half an hour and as for adults entertainment its very limited or nothing, but the charm of this means that everyone becomes friends and has a laugh and remember it is ONLY A 2 STARS not 5. So if you dont get bacon in the morning its not the end of the world is it, remember the sun is the thing that matters most, if the receptionist has a face like the back of a bus so what, I dont go on holiday to look at her, people on this site loose there common sence and run everthing and everyone down, so what if some scots get drunk its a holiday and after 00:30 you wont see anyone as the lights go out and some go back to there rooms while others go out for the night, if you would like more info you can email me nfitzgerald@hotmail.co.uk

Room Tip: its a hard one really, upstairs is best you get the sun all day and into the evening.

visited here for a week with myself and boyfriend (both mid twenties).. i was abit nervous after reading some poor reviews on here. the rooms are clean, enough wardrobe space, comfy spacious beds, kitchen/ living area with hob and fridge. the only thing of concern for myself was that the lock on the balcony door wasnt the sturdiest but there is the option to rent a safe for the week so we did that and had no problems at all.

food is fine for what we paid (booked through icelolly paid £270pp all inclusive) and wouldnt really have expected much more, not the most amazing of choices but couldnt complain, breakfast and lunch is fine but got a bit tired of the evening meals. we did venture into maspalomas / playa de ingles for some evening meals which was lovely and not too expensive (maspalomas has lots of nice bars and restaurants, some expensive some not). only about 4euros in a taxi, and the same to playa de ingles which is more lively.

drinks are not bad either in the hotel. theres also a hotel shop so can buy stuff from there aswell.

it was busy for the time of year (late april) around the pool so id imagine in high season you'd need to be quick for a bed. there are two pools, mini golf, pool table, and ping pong table. saw the kids club entertaining children throughout the day

i wouldnt like to comment on the evening entertainment as we didnt stay in the hotel to watch any of it. rooms were cleaned 3 times a week and towels changed.

the hotel offer a free bus to maspalmosas beach which is good

all the staff were very helpful, everything was clean. our flight home was later on and the hotel offer a courtesy room for you to have a shower and get changed, otherwise its 20euros pp to keep your own room and you can also keep your all inclusive untill you leave.

for a young couple for a week away, for the price we paid, couldnt really have asked for more.

would return.
