Just got back from staying at the Turbo Club for 2 weeks. There is a saying you get what you pay for. Bearing in mind that I paid about £1000 for hotel but this was for 4 people for 2 weeks All Inclusive.
So I will start with the All Inclusive bit. Food is ok but some weird combinations happened. Cauliflower and sprouts appeared in morning and Frankfurters practically every morning occasionally changed with bacon. Lunchtimes & Evening meals were pretty much the same pizza, fish, beef, chicken, rice, chips etc. Salad items there of course and the sweets were very basic. Jelly everyday, Ice Cream, Fruit & Rice pudding that looked like it had been there for two weeks. But all the same a good selection overall. Drinks were ok but there was two annoying things observed. One the outside bar closed whenever the restaurant was open as the same staff manned both and secondly there was a two drink limit on the outside bar although you could get as many beers or wines as you wanted in the restaurant when it was open. Personally a 4 drink limit would of been better as it would of minimised queues at busy periods as you had to go back to the bar again if there was more then 2 of you. Alcohol drinks were ok and the local beer was fairly strong but not the best but enjoyable.
Now if you are booking this hotel try and get an morning or early afternoon check in as if you arrive late in the day you seem to miss out on the a meal or two as you have to check out at 12pm on departure day irrelevant if you dont get picked up until later in the day so you miss both dinner and tea even though you should be entitled to it. I was fine as I arrived at an ok time but i know there was various people who were not happy about this.
Other things i would comment on was the two ANIMATION team Gilbert & Francesca(could be wrong with this)were brilliant. Activites for both adults and kids were great for parts of the day but although they entertained the kids at night the adult entertainment was non existent in the evenings. Beware tho make sure you take a calculator with you as these guys are hopeless at adding up but very funny with it. I loved them.
Pools were great but there were issues with sunbeds which needs addressing. If we hadn't got up early at around 6-8am in the morning there was no beds to lie on. Nothing around the hotel apart from a market twice a week and the Holiday World with bowling, funfair, arcades and a couple of restaurants just five minute walk from the hotel. Apart from that it was either taxi or bus to the attractions, bars, restaurants away from the hotel but a free shuttle bus to beach 3 times a day. Like some of the other reviews beware of the african men and women either trying to sell you a cheap bracelet or watch. Avoid like the plague.
Finally back at the hotel Wifi is rubbish and so is the speed of their computers in reception and one personal think i missed was a cash machine on site as I had to withdraw money and had to walk to Holiday World to get it as that was the nearest cash machine. One of these was out of order too.
So out of ten here is my scores
Food at complex 6
Entertainment 8 in day 5 at night
Rooms 5 (ok but no kettle and tv you have to pay for)
Local Attractions 4
For kids 9
All Inclusive in General 6
Hotel in General 6
