My partner and I have returned from the Turbo Club yesterday evening (16th June) wherre we stayed for 1 week. We paid £638 for both us all inclusive through the teletext website. We weren't expecting much for this price, simply wanted a little break and some sunshine. When we arrived we were quickly ushered downstairs to grab some lunch as it was finishing at 2.30 and the time was roughly 2pm then. I thought this was a nice touch as the receptionist didn't need to ensure we had our lunch. We left our bags etc at reception and then collected them once we had eaten. Our room was number 235 which is ideally located just round from reception and with a balcony overlooking the pool. The grounds round about the hotel are nice enough and the buildings themselves look very nice. Our room was lovely, very clean. One bedroom with ample cupboard space for 2 people and lots of coathangers. Little kitchenette area with good working fridge, glasses, mugs etc. Couch, pay-as-you-go tv and balcony furniture. Good size shower cabinet in the bathroom with good shower, however, the hot water doesn't last too long! Everything you'd want really for the price we paid. Very clean as well. Only thing missing was air-conditioning which we could've done with. We simply left the windows open when in bed though and this cooled us off (though I appreciate not everyone would be keen to do this). The food in the restaurant was ok. Toast, selection of cereals, bread and meats, fresh fruit is pretty much it for breakfast. Ocassionally boiled/scrambled eggs. The lunch and dinner over the week consisted of chips, fish in various forms, beef in various forms, soup, lots of salad stuff, and a few of what seemed like "chefs specials" which I wasn't brave enough to try! My partner did however and she had no complaints on the food really. As most reviews say it wasn't the greatest selection but it is a 2* hotel so surely no one expects Michelin stars? The main issue for me with the hotel was the location. There is nothing within walking distance from the complex apart from Holiday World which is basically a big bowling alley and arcade centre with a pub "Moonlights" on the side of it. The issue with this though is its on the other side of the motorway from the hotel side and involves walking through a pretty scary dark grafitti covered underpass to access it! I didn't fancy walking through it at night so didn't venture over there. Playa del Ingles is only €4 away in a taxi and there is a rank on the roundabout outside the hotel. Also there are a number of bars and shops etc at the beach at Meloneras which the hotel runs 3 complimentary buses to and from each day. The entertainment was ok and there a number of things to get involved in during the day, billiards, darts, waterpolo etc if sunbathing all day isn't your thing. The staff at the hotel were generally nice and friendly. I would go back to this hotel if I was paying the same price again but its maybe not worth much more than this - but only due to the location. Though if all you want is a quite time in the complex taking advantage of your all inclusive to the max then this is the place for you.
