Bungalows Las Vegas Golf
Reviewed 30 July 2014

We stayed here for 10 day and found the bungalows ok. Well equipped for the price and reasonable comfortable. There is plenty of thing to do around the area if you don't mind a walk or the taxis are not to expensive and there are plenty of them around. The Mini market at the bungalows is basic but you can get can Walk to a better shop within around 5-10mins. The pool is ok you may have a few problem with getting sunbeds though. All in all the holiday is what you make it.

Was a litle worried after reading some reviews - but as normal took no notice - we had a very nice stay here, the bungalows are basic but clean the beds and rooms were cleaned and made everyday- the bathrooms we nice. we were staying in a 2 bedroomed bungalow and had a very nice location - very quiet and peaceful. Although Las Vegas Golf is a little out of the way you can flag a taxi down from outside almost imediately - and approx 4 euros to either Maspalomas front or Yumbo centre - so excellent value.
Las Vegas Golf Bungalows are very cheaply priced and basic but suited our requirements - would stay again

I have just returned form my stay at Las Vegas Golf. All i wanted was piece and quiet and some sun and that is what i got! The complex is nicely situated and no noisy clubs nearby. A small walk to the nearest shopping centre and restaurants. The manager there speaks perfect English and a lovely helpful guy to chat with. My bungalow was cleaned pretty much every day and there was plenty of hot water for showering. There is wifi there too and i would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Quieter time if you are away from the swimming pool but the wifi signal can be weak so ask for a roo...

Our party of six arrived at the complex early afternoon, to be told that two of the three bungalows booked were not yet ready. We checked in and placed our luggage in the one bungalow that was ready and went to the poolside café for what was a nice lunch. On returning to the bungalow we discovered that one of the suitcases had been opened and a small purse stolen from it containing money. As it wasn't a massive amount we left it at that - it left a sour taste in our mouths being day one!! Somebody working there with keys is clearly a thief (cleaner?) - somebody using Trip Advisor has had the same experience so we were aware, but thought it wouldn't happen to us! My biggest tip therefore of my review is to pay for the safe ON ARRIVAL and lock valuables away or take them with you!! (25 euros for 8 days, with 10 euros being refunded at the end of the stay). The location here is perfect if you want to be midway between the Yumbo centre and the beach at Maspalomas. 10-15 minute walk in either direction takes you there. Taxis are cheap though if you don't want to walk (3.70 from the beach to the complex and the same, or less, into town). When we stayed here it was a spanish holiday weekend so it was very busy around the pool area - or perhaps I should say everybody had placed their towels on the dozens of otherwise emtpy sunbeds - really annoying! However, once that weekend was over the complex quietened down and is in fact mostly inhabited by spanish holiday makers or permanent (spanish) residents! We liked the fact that there were what appeared to be no other english people at the resort. We experienced NO cockroaches in our bungalow and half a dozen ants - anyone not keeping the kitchen work surfaces clean could attract ants if they weren't tidy! Plenty of hot water. We opted not to pay for the TV. The pool is nice and big and attended by a life guard from 11am to 7pm I think or thereabouts. There is access for disabled also into the pool which I thought was a nice touch (ramp). Access into town is out through the only entrance and then a hike around the outside of the complex on the waste ground - not a problem during daylight hours but perhaps a little unnerving for some (almost no lighting on the outside as you might expect). There is however a short cut until 9pm, via the tennis club - hang a left as you exit the complex and walk into the gym area next door and walk through the tennis court area and eventually you come out to a back gate to a local supermarket - it comes out at the almost deserted shopping area where there is a restaurant selling the infamous roasted chickens. There is no air conditioning - not a problem for us as it wasn't too hot, but I would imagine it must be unbearable in the height of summer. The beds were firm (not memory foam). Towel changes and cleaning was often. The cleaners were very friendly, but then, we figure we know why!! Reception wasn't always open, and the internet in the reception also did not work. Overall, this complex is a little tired, but out of peak season - a nice little 'tucked away - good value for money' destination. Just be careful of the thief!

Room Tip: If you want a little more privacy, try to ask for one of the bungalows at the rear - the ones front...

The complex itself is lovely and the scenery is equally nice. Reception are extremely helpful, and although there is no air con, a problem in august, the apartments were comfortable. If however you choose to go when the locals are on holiday for 3 months, the noise is unbearable, and you will be kept awake with their unnaturally loud tones. I'd advise staying away in the summer months. Otherwise there are plenty of germans, which isn't a problem, and if you speak german as i do, all the better! the only thing left to say is the pool tends to be filled with locals, but there are buses down to the beach in Maspalomas which is perfectly good for most people. Its very hot here inland, it was 46 degrees at points when we went, and its a little out of the way. Apart from the locals and the noise, i couldn't fault the actual accommodation and if you stayed away from June/July/August, It would be lovely.

I had booked to stay here for two weeks at the beginning of august. Upon arrival at 8pm the reception was closed with a note taped to the shutter telling us which bungalow we were in. The bungalow was unlocked with the keys inside. First impressions weren't great with the creaky old furniture, broken tiles, flaked off paint work and damp smell but the worst had to be the cockroaches under the bed. Disgusting!! We tried to make it work by getting up early and out of the complex all day but returning in the evenings we were always greeted by ants and cockroaches! Although we repeatedly asked reception if we could move bungalows or have it treated for the infestation we got no satisfaction. Only that the maid would spray the place which never happened!!
The final straw came on the fifth day of our holiday when pouring out a bowl of cereal revealed hundreds of ants running all over the breakfast...They had somehow got inside the box and there were more than ever now.
We couldn't take any more after that and booked a new complex at our own expense that very morning. We ran out the following day and didn't look back. Got no satisfaction from reception when we said we were leaving eight days early. Utterly disgraceful. I am home three days now and intend to contact the booking agent who recommended the complex.
Trust me DO NOT STAY HERE ITS HORRIBLE!!!!!

Spent a week here with some friends for an end of uni break. The hotel is brilliant value for money. Clean, comfortable, kitted out better than any other holiday apartments I've ever stayed in, maid service was brilliant, bar staff were wonderful, all staff were helpful and friendly. Obviously it's not the Ritz but it's exactly what you'd expect for what it advertises as, and I could find no real fault with it.

Although, for people wanting to be in the centre of things it's probably not ideal. Not the fault of the hotel, just bad planning on our part :).
