“An average holiday”
Reviewed 9 July 2014

We visited this hotel in March 2013
The weather was not kind to us, we had a tremendous storm one night that washed soil out of the planters on our balcony, all credit to the staff when they cleaned all the mess up the following morning.
The room was clean and comfy but fairly basic, not a problem because we don't go on holiday to stop in our room.
Staff were all very friendly, drinks and food were excellent, we did go all inclusive.

On the down side, there were lots of stray cats about the place and my wife did spot at least one taking a poo in the man made beach by the large pool, not a lot the staff could do about the cat problem but just take care.

One other thing for poolside lovers was that there did not seem to be lots of parasols to shade under.

We had a great holiday and I think it was value for money, though nothing special we did recommend it to our Daughter as a place you can just chill and relax.

Me and my partner went on our first holiday together on June 23rd 2014, we was abit worried what it would be like as we paid 1500 between us and didn't want it not to be worth the money, but we was so happy with everything from the holiday.. The hotel is beautiful and very different to any others that I had seen. The staff are very friendly always greet you and help out as much as they can. The chefs and waiters in the restaurant are lovely and made our stay that bit better! The food in the restaurant was delicious, always changed it around every day bringing out fresh food continuously. Our room was cleaned everyday and new towels given to us. The bedroom was beautiful, great view from the balcony! one tiny fault that we wasn't too bothered about was that our air con didn't work but we slept with the door open so wasn't too much bother. The area is a nice walk from the beach took us about 20mins straight walk down the canal and 5 min taxi to shops which was about 4 euros. I highly recommend the packs they do for water sports we paid 59 euros to do jet ski, parasailing, banana boat & donut.. then stayed at the beach by the caves for some of the day which was relaxing and had lovely views. The hotel was also a mixture of ages and groups, there was couples, elderly, young people which was a nice mixture but was also always very quiet and relaxing! In the evening there were shows which we enjoyed such as the parrot show. At the hotel they also have a mini golf which we played once and was so fascinated to see they had tortoise in the river around it. Id deffently go again :)

Me and my partner have just returned from a weeks stay here. Hotel is huge it is 2 hotels one all inclusive and one half board but can use both facilities. Hotel is extremly clean. Food was good but i found it difficult to find a meal i really wanted as there was a lot of fish dishes. Only little niggle is that the cocktails dont always get alcohol put in them!
Beds are firm but that didnt bother me, maybe extra pillows in the room but if i had asked i probably could have got another.
Entertainment in all inclusive side was a bit naff but you can go to the other side which we got told is better by reception staff.

Room Tip: We had top floor facing out the hotel which had the sun all morning until around 1pm

Our second visit really enjoyed a lazy holiday. Was remembered by many of the staff from our previous stay. I had a jiffy tumie but I had it before going so had lots of soup and "Gazpacho" which was lovely. The piano bar entertainment was outside which was very pleasant. looking forward to going back soon..

Room Tip: Ask for a high flour pool view.

Just recently returned from two fabulous weeks holiday, fully inclusive at The Tabaiba Princess Hotel in Gran Canaria. This was our 4th consecutive year at this lovely hotel, the weather was brilliant and plenty of sun loungers to choose from, the grounds and pools are very well maintained, The food as usual is always first class and apparently they have chained their bacon suppliers, the bacon now has meat on it and not all streaky fat, more like back bacon, a varied choice of lots of different foods, so even a fussy eater would find something to eat, their steaks are tasty, I just wish they would use a lot less salt when show cooking meats also in their sauces/gravy.

Entertainment, some of the tribute bands were very good, and also The Beijing Acrobats.

I paid for a weeks wi-fi but as a previous reviewer said I could not pick it up in our room and sometimes a little better in the reception, but they gave me three different codes to put in and gave me another weeks free, but it was still the same. These days it should be free and it should be reliable.

The beds are a bit firm but I like a firm mattress, so I never had a problem with this, but I had to
take my own travel pillow as their pillow are lumpy and hard.

A nice trip to book is the trip to Porto de Morgan where there is a market that goes through the street's and all around the harbour area, Wednesday's is a small market and Friday's is a full market, such a pretty coastal town with whitewashed houses with flowers growing all over them. If you miss the market at Morgan or buy something that needs changing the same market is in Maspalomas on Saturdays

We always walked along the dry river bed to Maspalomas (turn left for 30ft then right at the dry river bed out of the hotel from the back gate entrance and just keep going straight) we then walked along the seafront turn to the left to Playa del Ingles (90 mins) also walked to Meloneros (40 mins) turn right at seafront.

Gran Canaria is a very pretty and clean with no problems as the police are always driving up and down the beaches and promenades. If you haven't been before it is well worth a visit, you will not be disappointed. Have a great holiday.

We shall be returning again next year that is if after all these glowing reports we can still get in :-)

Room Tip: Take a kettle as one is not provided

Just had two fabulous weeks holiday, fully inclusive at the Tabaiba Princess Hotel Gran Canaria. The 2nd time we've stayed at this location. It was every bit as good as the first time we stayed there. The only criticism we have is that we paid for wi-fi in our room but the connection was really poor if not sometimes none existent. It was a little better up at the Reception Area which made a joke out of paying for it. But apart from that the accommodation, food, friendly helpful staff, the cleanliness of the Hotel was superb. Highly recommended.
