“Cafe Biblioteca”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 February 2014

Our group of five well travelled people had an idea of what to expect from a Persian menu and were delighted to find that the food, service, and ambience far exceeded our expectations. We all chose the set menu which included tasty home made bread, with scrummy dips, a delicious salad enhanced by fresh herbs. The lamb fillet served on rice accompanied by the most delicious sauce was tender and very tasty. The chocolate pud rounded off the meal nicely. Hussein was a very good host in that he enthusiastically explained each dish in detail and recommended a superb wine to accompany the meal. His dry sense of humour was infectious. Thank you. Can't wait to go back! Patricia

“Excellent meal in lovely comfortable restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 January 2014

Four of us enjoyed a delightful 4 course menu that only involved us choosing the main course.
Everything we had was fresh, well presented and delicious to eat. The first course of Iranian bread with a duo of dips, humus and spicy salsa, set the tone, it was light and fresh. The second course was a salad with fresh herbs and was fragrant and very tasty. We each chose a different main course, so sampled the turkey, entrecôte, lamb and vegetarian options. All were served with a different sauce and were super. I had the lamb and it melted on the tongue. In fact we all agreed that we would have been happy with any of them. Dessert was a chocolate mousse, beautifully presented, but because I am unable to eat chocolate I was brought a baklava and it was the best I have tried. Moist and tasty. We took advantage of the offer with the Tenerife news to have the meal for the reduced price of 15 euros. It was absolutely outstanding value for a meal of such good quality. The owner and chef Hossain is a real character, and service was with a very big smile. The restaurant is a little out of the way, but it was very much worth the effort. We will return.
Thanks for a

“Amazing food, but grumpy staff”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 January 2014

We were recommended this restaurant by some friends and thought we would give it a try
We were very impressed by the whole decor and it had been very tastefully done. The menu was limited and all meals were served with rice only but we picked what we wanted . However the evening was marred somewhat by the staff particularly the older gentleman who gave us the impression we were spoiling his night by turning up, and hardly spoke to us, his partner wasnt much better until my partner spoke to her in German!!
The food was the best we had tasted in a long time and presented well. We certainly will return and hopefully catch them in a happier mood

“The Irish Girls Oct.'13”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 October 2013

What can I say, when we arrived at the restaurant we were the only customers and as you can imagine were a bit apprehensive, aslo we weren't exactly dressed for the occasion as we had just returned from a trip up thr mountains.

The owner reassured us that it wasn't a problem and made us feel very welcome.

We ordered drinks and a combination of starters ( salads ) which were gorgeous and some fresh Iranian bread. Then the owener explained the main courses in perfect english and gave some great recommendations.
There was great banter between the owner ourselves and the chef.

I can't remember what it cost for the five of us but I know it didn't break the bank.

I would highly recomment this restaurant and will certainly be returning on my next visit. By the way, we went twice in the one week, that speaks for itself.

Thank you Husain for looking after us so well.
